Good video as always Saif. I'm no expert but I'll just share what I know about tyre sizes here for everyone's benefit. So if you compare the tyre sizes of trailhawk and model S/limited there isn't much difference in the overall diameter. The difference is in the height of the side wall. In 225 55R18, side wall is 0.55X225 mm which is around 124 milli meters. In trailhawk you get 225 60R17 so side wall has increased to 135mm (0.6X225). Bigger side wall is better for off roading. There isn't much difference in other parameters. Tyre width is obviously same for the both - 225 mm. Difference in tyre diameter and circumference are also negligible. For SUVs bigger side wall is always better but manufacturers for the sake of looks go with bigger alloys in top models. Since diameter has to kept within certain range they are forced to reduce size of side wall which in turn increases chances of punctures and rim damage and reduces off-road capabilities of the vehicle.

The thing is i dont think 99% of the time i will be going off roading with such an expensive vehicle and the other thing that matters is the mileage which i am mostly going to be driving on highways. I heard that the diesel automatic and the petrol automatic kinda gives the same mileage (dont know whether thats true) and 4x4 diesel automatic is i think going make me stretch my budget to another 4 lakhs. so, i want to know your opinion as a jeep compass owner, whether i should just go for the Model s petrol automatic or stretch my budget and get myself 4x4 Diesel automatic. ( i am adamant on getting the S model :) )

However, I felt that the seats were a little stiff/ hard. My family felt it as well. Is this the case with all JCs? How comfortable are they in long drives? Your inputs would be really helpful
Hi Somashekar, true it is stiff. Even I was thinking it will be uncomfortable for long drive. Surprisingly it is very comfortable on long drive. I have done 1000 kms in single day with hardly 2 -3 breaks. Even my mother also feel it was very comfortable on long drive. We did around 600 kms drive with her.

Some cars has these issues. Mostly good service centers are able to fix it. My car also was having some noice. It got resolved. For lag are you taking about petrol or Diesel engine

If you are considering petrol then u can think for tiguan since milage is little better. But if u don’t worry about it. Go for Jeep it is very capable car
