Thanks! Good idea, I'm going to make my home work now, maybe ADI-2 will be reviewed as well. Will see..

I've been very impressed with mine. It definitely sounds better with an external power supply - the noise floor drops further and reveals another level of detail. I've used the volume control into a power amp but I thought it better with the volume bypassed and running into a pre amp. Also tried the phono stage on MM and MC - both pretty good although mine has a motorboating noise on MC that might be down to a duff component - it's stronger on one channel. Used it single ended and balanced, balanced is better IMO.
As much as you can say for a component that costs £1800, it's excellent value for money.

Great video, yeah a review/comparison of the RME ADI2 dac would be great, that’s the dac I’m about to get but wonder if the MQA decoding is needed?

I have the Mytek Brooklyn dac+. After 18 months of light use, the display stopped to work. Contacted the support service of Mytek they have never replied. My only chance to modify settings Is connecting It to my PC. Bad experience

Hi, Can I leave it in "standby" mode for a long time or do I have to switch it off completely almost every time?

Ares and Brooklyn DAC+ are opposite devices. DAC+ is super detailed to a point of being clinical and bright. Ares is smooth sounding, has less detail and less control, but it is much more engaging in the long run. Two very different devices
