a Roman century does mean 100 men except abt 20 of them were like slaves, auxiliaries and generally non combatants so that leaves you with 80 legionaries

The leather armor couldn't stop axes, spears, sword thrusts, or hammers but they were able to stand against slashes from most swords. Most times that was the case for early untempered steel armor as well. Just a random bit of info from your friendly household historian 😉

@@ayatanjum3522 yes. They were also cheap and quick to make a ton of them for a big army lol. Superior attack range and you can throw them. Definitely the better weapon until the English plate armor and bows came about.

Are there any arms and armor mods for this game? Like could you make the factions Dark Ages factions. Like the Romans could be The Franks, the Gauls could be the Viking, etc. It would almost turn it into a whole new game in a way. Idk just a thought
