This was the creepiest track in the entire game. I know it's used in other parts, but goddamn the backstory with the dead mercenary and the girl would send chills down my spine when I got to the clocktower.
Yeah that was the creepiest room in the RE3. Ok I try to explain. Do you hear the sound in that soundtrack , sound like someone barely breathing. So this makes this track so creepy ! I mean, it gives u the feeling that this soldier in that room is breathing ! But he is dead , he and the girl that in his grasp , they both are dead. Dude, do u understand what I am trying to say ?
"I really wanted to save the girl, but Campbell said, 'All I care about is our lives.' That's how I felt before, but now... The clock tower has become a dangerous place and I don't want to make anymore mistakes..." The sinister chime of the haunting melody playing in the background as you examine the fate of a UBCS Echo team Mercenary and a civilian girl he tried to protect.
i still can remember that diary you can find on one of those soldiers who is holding a pretty girl in his hands. man, the story told in his diary still fucks me up. that guy tried to protect her with everything he got, 'cause she reminded him of his own sister. but when you see them both lying dead in the corner, you know what happened to them at the end x.x.
So this is what it's called! This room is what I always think of when I think of resident evil. Disturbing atmosphere and seemingly nonsense puzzles. This song always creeps me out.
The paintings of time... Past, present and future. Newborn, adult and death. And the corpses of the sad couple that died... At least they died together.
@@kal-el8402 Its not really his daughter, just a random kid who likely lost her parents and the soldier felt sympathy for her and decided to be with her so she wouldn't die alone
This tune along with Mysterious Box short tune for puzzle solving and Safe Room Theme (Free From Fear!) are three game defining musical moments...these are the three that are engraved in your mind once and for all as soon as you've heard them playing and then, they will never leave thoughts...
This theme makes me feel creepy but also sad cause at Clock Tower there is an Umbrella Soldier and his daughter hugging each other. And both death. Probably Soldier fighted until his last breath.
One of my favorites. There's this gothic creepiness to it that always sucks me in. Wouldn't be out of place in a game like "Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines". 💜

Such a great track and they only play it in three rooms, one of them a small restaurant you pass by in like 20 seconds. Should have been used as the theme playing in the park and outside the hospital and the clock tower.
@@soundtrack1405 yeah, hospital room with the hidden safe, the room with the paintings in the clock tower and the small bistro. That's three rooms. Would have loved to see them use it a bit more prominently, cause it's one hell of a track, and creepy as fuck. It has this "everything's gone to hell, you gotta hurry up or you'll be next" sound to it.
I think it was perfect to use this in the restaurant. It fits the environment and the fact that one of the 2 gems is hidden in the basement and the background story with the restaurant owner being shot at the RPD and stuff... And you don't just pass through this room within 20 seconds playing it the first time, or even not the first time. The room in the clock tower with that puzzle also keeps you busy for a while and it was perfect with this tune playing in the background while you're tryin to solve it.
