    Just found this channel, enjooyed seeing your craftsman ship on the powder horn ... I'll have to back track to see parts 1-3. *LIKED* and *SUBSCRIBED*

    You should not use water! The reason being the horn has a tendency to not hold the shape you want - use cooking or vegetable oil. When the oil reaches 350 - 375 degrees shut the heat off. Then place the horn in the end you want to shape. After 5 - 6 seconds then check to see if it is soft enough to properly fit your plug. And there is no need to place the horn completely in the pot just the part you want to shape. Also, after shaping the horn wash it in soap and water to remove the oil. I didn't want to spoil your party. My intent is only someone may be their first time they try shaping a horn and could ruin their first horn. Thanks for taking the time to post a video.

      I use the oil method for horns with turned plugs and water with this style
