This mechanic of replacing bloocks to make a doubble hidden information game for both players without having to use a game master is damn pure brilliant! Bravo Volko, I applaud for what you did here!
I hope it spawns a whole new line of games with this mechanic! In fact my head just start spinning for different game ideas for this!
Edit* And the double layered game board to make sure they slot perfectly in place to make sure no one can see if a blocks have been moved slightly is also brilliant.
Bravo!
Agreed. Volko already has two other games in the system with GMT. Highly recommend checking them out, Coast Watchers (WWII Rabul), and a WWI Verdun one.
@@Heavycardboard what is the title of the Verdun game?
@@kristijan1985 hi! Provisionally, the third game is called "Drachen: Reconnaissance at Verdun, 1916"
@@volkoruhnke26 thanks, Volko. So this one does not have a BBG entry (and a publisher
?) yet
@@kristijan1985 That's right. It is still in design. But it would be highly suited as Volume Ii after Coast Watchers in a proposed "Recon Series".
Yikes!...I preordered Coast Watchers because of the solitaire development and I dont have a regular gaming mate.(nobody likes me😅) After seeing this I understand why solitaire mode cant be developed for it. It looks like a brilliant game! Almost irresistible. Going to have to order and wait for a playing partner. Cant wait to see the wwi edition some day!
This looks way better than I thought it would be.
It was really quite clever!
Volko is such an innovator. What a design
Looks great
Looking forward to getting this game....looks great!
So, the first Informant gives up to four tiles to search, and says "Any Towns, and 1 Anchorage", is that right? The Navy searched two towns and two anchorages.
I noticed that. I think he got an unfair advantage since he has twice the chance to find the hideout.
And yet, still lost! Sheesh. Even when I make mistakes in my favor I fail!
First 🎉😂
And last.
