Quality, consider yourself lucky to have been there,Pete really had to step his game up after pat left,at this gig he is part of a winning team.seen libertines 2015 and realised I love the shambles a wee bit more, but I understand Pete has to eat but it felt like everyone except Gary were enjoying gig, still I'm glad to say I've seen them live, but would prefer the sweaty smaller venues.up the shambles.
I've been realising this myself lately, never got the chance to see the 'shambles live though. Completely agree you can tell they're properly rehearsed here..(still a lil bit shambolic but that's why we love em) those early gigs with Gemma and Pat seemed to be stuff of legend..
Love that little glimmer of Heartbreak Hotel at the beginning...the last true (mainstream) punk. Also. clearly off his box here, BUT holding it together and performing really well? OR he was clean...just so hard to tell...back then he could get away with it?
Nah pat is really great. No disputes there. But mik is a rick solid guitar player. He plays rhythm and lead very well. And he did learn all the guitar parts for down in albion.
maybe, but Mik knew how to score in any town or country whereas Pat couldn't leave his flat due to dealers wanting their money and threatening to break his fingers, so it really came down to practicality
The first time I heard it, I liked it, now it's my addiction
I was there! Class band not many left
The only rockstar the last decade is Pete. The amount of great, quality music and poetry this guy has made despite all odds is yet to reckoned.

@@bklmsoul Ha. Can't argue with cold hard practicalities.
@@matthewjdouglas6471 is "rick solid" a rickenbacker pun or a typo?
