Hi Vladimir, how are you. All of your videos are very interesting, it help me a lot. One question: is it possible use just washers and nuts through IFX without screws, or necessarily we need to use a screw? Is it possible configure IFX to use stud bolts, eye bolts, etc?
Hi Mendes, thank you for your positive feedback. If you want to use screw connection you need also nuts and washers. If you need to assemble only a stud bolt or an eye bolt... Use customized files for bolt placement. Bye, Vladimir
Hi, thank you for your question... Seems that is possible (I did not test it only find some info about it.. See info below) Good news: We add this functionality in Creo 3.0 We now have an ifx_start_mdl.cfg for IFX ... Please try and let us know 😉👍, Thank you, Vladimir

Hi Vladimir, this tutorial is great! Thank you! You mentioned you have another video for how to create the custom fastener part files that the custom data file references. I am having trouble finding it though. Could you please link to it?
Hi Myles, thank you for your positive feedback. I have updated description for this video - so link is included there or: Creo IFX - data file preparation for custom IFX library part: ua-cam.com/video/TrtnJ0QzbEE/v-deo.html Stay tuned, Vladimir
Hello Vladimir, thank you for the video. but how to create custom library when i parts from windchill and also the we have different parts for different length but no instance.
Hi, we also use Windchill and separated models (you need to create for specific ISO / DIN standard necessary data files. In these data files you can define which model will be loaded for specific size...)... I have tried to explain all these details in the video, please check and try it 😉👍 Good luck, Vladimir
Thank you for the tutorial, can you make one (or link me if you already done) where you create the .prt file? I can't understand how the *.dat file will recognise which feature to modify to create 3D model for every instance. More clear (in the ptc.support) the way to do with family table, in that case you specify dimension number or parameter, but in the other case?
Thanks Vladimir for this incredible work in this tuto , i think that no way to set a config.pro to declare custom ifx directory ( we have to insert custom .dat .gif .txt in the original install directory )
I have seen option in configuration file directly for IFX - but I did not try because I use some original models and some custom. Please check and maybe it will be useful for your configuration :) Bye, Vladimir
Hi, everything is driven by dat files. Please explore and try to change rapidly some values and you will see the difference - what current / changed parameter is for
Hi, but I do not understand your question. All steps are visible in this video. You will learn what you need to change and how.. Also you can't see the examples of modified files. Good luck. Vladimir

Thanks so much for you tutorial, it was very helpful. Could you please make a tutorial for how to customize Creo Application Framework Library (AFX)
Hi, thank you for your positive feedback and also for your suggestion.
Stay tuned, Vladimir
Great. Is it possible to link a parameter in the catalog.txt file? I mean for example to include de SAP Number for each screw size?

Hello. While we are customizing the the screws or bolts, is it possible to customize the holes dia that it does automatically on the surfaces?

HI,, COULD YOU SHOW ME HOW TO CUSTOMIZE A FASTENER AND ADD THE SAME THING TO THE IFX FASTENERS LIBRARY IN A SINGLE VIDEO.
