Hey, handsome… don’t worry about stepping on the graves… many times what you are taking for headstones are really footstones so you’re walking on them anyway… I don’t think they’d mind considering your visiting them and giving them immortality just by recording the stones… great work. I’m a fan.
I started walking different cemeteries in 2013. My husband and I loved it. Did it every day. The history and presence of love was amazing. He died that Decembervat 51. I havent walked a cemetery since. So thank you for your channel!!!
Melissa, So sorry for the loss of your dear husband, my family can understand your profound grief. We lost our son six years ago, our family was devastated, yet it’s somewhat comforting to visit him there.
Cumming Cherry plant carved on the memorial stone is a Scotish thistle the emblem for Scotland - happy birthday for today, great video as usual, from Sussex UK X
Daisy my niece just moved to Lewes to be with her husband's family. Absolutely gorgeous there, I think your close? Yes- Cherry born Scotland. A geologist.
I’ve been to Rosehill many times. My Irish immigrant grandparents are buried there, along with two of their adult children. Grandpa bought 7 plots (the number of completion) but 3 remain empty.
Have two sets of grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, parents and a son resting at Rosehill. I love seeing the deer herds, foxes and rabbits in the cemetery as I’ve walked there many times, while visiting family.
Congratulations! I have always been intrigued by history things such as cemeteries, old houses, old churches, old farms, etc. Didn’t even think to go as far into it as you (and others) have gone but boy, love it! You were the first channel like this I have found and only one I watch. I’m basically home bound these days with health things which after being so independent doesn’t help with depression. Thank you for lightening some of these days and just being an interesting, laid back, “real” type person that I have learned so much from. God Bless you Ron!
Congratulations! My mom and I loved cemetery looking, now she has passed. Today I picked out a stone for her and my dad. Hard day but worth it. Glad to see you today, made me feel closer to her to go virtual cemetery looking.
Near my grandparents’ graves there is a stone that reads “Norma Strom Spacek and baby”. I don’t remember the year but the month was December. As a child visiting the graves I would wander around and read stones. This one always made me sad, a family anticipating a newborn at Christmas but then losing both baby and mom.
So very sad ...up north Michigan wgeremy dad is buried in an old country church graveyard , we have seen a family plot where all the babies died before age 2. Like 7 babies all from same parents. Such a tragic situation, I can't imagine their heartbreak. And really makes you wonder why that happened..late 1800s or early 1900s I believe. Next time I go to clean up my dads and grandparents graves I will photograph them and see if I can learn anything about the family.

I'm sure they are honored to hear their names spoken again. ❤️
Congratulations on your one year anniversary. I live close to Rosehill Cemetery and frequently visit. I always pay my respect to the grave of Julius Rosenwald. He was the founder of Sears Company and built and paid for many schools for African Americans among many other philanthropic activities. I admire his generosity and humility. He was one of the richest person during his time. He helped a lot of black people by building schools for them when many people just did not care. People should learn more about Mr. Rosenwald. To me, he is a real American idol. I hope that you visit his grave too. It is very easy to locate. He was buried there with his wife.
Love your channel! Bohemian National is where all of my relatives on my Mom's side of the family is buried. When went with Her many Sundays to visit the graves, and plant flowers. They rest just a short distance from the large statue, The Mourner, you once featured. Congrats on a great channel!
He's planning on a Ireland holiday I do know so it's a possibility. As a staff member of the channel and from North West England myself and living in Florida, when he goes, i may tag along to hang out while seeing my daughter and some grandchildren, who still live there if they don't move here first this year.
Nice to slow it down a bit, and kind of walk around at a slower pace. Don't get me wrong I enjoy all of the videos, but once in awhile just walking around is nice. Congratulations on your 1 year. The plant on the grave of Cumming Cherry, is thistle a cymbal for Scotland.

Love your channel, my husband is French and when we were living there I visited a lot of cemeteries .There is one in Paris that I visited because I was searching for the tomb of" Las dama de Las Camilias."Its a book by Alexandre Dumas it's the true story of one of his lovers who was a courtesan in Paris in the 1800s. The movie Camile with Greta Grabo as the actress portraying her in the 1920s movie was her real live she died of tuberculosis and she would always have a white Camilla flower in her hair or dress so thats why they called her the Dama de Las Camilas .Beautiful story,I found the tomb where everyone leaves a Camillia flower in her tomb, I took one and I have it pressed on that book by Alexandre Dumas .You can walk for hours in these cemeteries and never finish seeing all these wonderful tombs

Ron, Congratulations on your first year. This cemetery had some interesting head stones and mausoleums. The work in the big granite ball is amazing. Makes you think on how it was made. I always enjoy your work.
These videos are just amazing...so much history and respect for all the lost loved ones. What a wonderful man Ron is....we Glaswegians appreciate a straight talker. Lots of love from Scotland. X
Congratulations 🎊 Ron! I joined in shortly after you started. You got me through the pandemic! Even when you were recovering from Covid, you still did us a fantastic service! God bless and many more years to come 👏!
Congrats Ron on our anniversary 🎊💞💥💜. Love that place....so many beautiful and unique tombstones. Thank you so much for the journeys and history lessons you've given to us....and the compassion you've shown to the regular folks but keeping their life alive and the stones you've bought for less fortunate souls 😇. GOD BLESS YOU 🤴💗🕊️
Happy birthday, Ron. Love the way you relate to the lives of the deceased. You definitely shine a gentle light onto their family histories. Much success to your channel for the years to come.
Congrats on the anniversary. Met you a few times at Galt, ran across FOF on UA-cam and thought this guy sure looks familiar, now I know why! Love your show.
That is wonderful about your 1 year anniversary of FOTF. Pretty soon, it will be your 2 year anniversary of FOTF. Just 66 and a half more days. Woo Hoo!! 5:05 Very different shaped mausoleum. Nice how the outside looks sort of space age. 7:50 Nice angel statue. 8:05 The lichen covering the book and violin. No visible names on it anymore. Sort of sad and forgotten. 9:35 That is heavy! 10:55 That all-seeing-eye on the masonic markings always creeps me out. This one eye looks way too real. 19:26 Pretty mausoleum. 20:48 Beautiful statue 21:56 Very pretty. 25:14 I remember the episode. So glad she is protected from the elements. 25:31 Reminds me of a clock tower in a Dutch town. 29:39 Wow, So grand. I love the deer. It was so perfect on your timing. 29:57 The door! Wow! Beautiful video. Now, you have 200K subscribers. Wowsers! That is so cool! I appreciate you so tremendously for all you do to include others on your travels and explorations. ❤ God bless you always!
Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary. I'm in England 🇬🇧 I am impressed with how lovely your graveyard are . Here we have a lot of graveyards that aren't kept as nice as yours in the USA.
If you are ever in Cincinnati, I highly recommend going to Spring Grove Cemetery. It is absolutely beautiful and has so much history. There’s a mausoleum there that is a castle. A professor recommended it to my husband to do research for a history project. We went together, then started going often because there was always something new to see. Congratulations on your 1 year. I enjoy your story telling. 😊
The plant on the grave is a thistle, it’s a symbol of Scotland. Rose is England, shamrock Ireland, Thistle Scotland and daffodil for wales 🇬🇧

Cumming Cherry was a geologist. Thistle represents courage and resilience in Celtic culture. That's all I could find on find a grave.
there is three generations of cumming-cherry descendants buried there

Congrats Ron on our anniversary 🎊💞💥💜. Love that place....so many beautiful and unique tombstones. Thank you so much for the journeys and history lessons you've given to us....and the compassion you've shown to the regular folks but keeping their life alive and the stones you've bought for less fortunate souls 😇. GOD BLESS YOU 🤴💗🕊️

20:48 Beautiful statue
21:56 Very pretty.
25:14 I remember the episode. So glad she is protected from the elements.
25:31 Reminds me of a clock tower in a Dutch town.
29:39 Wow, So grand. I love the deer. It was so perfect on your timing.
29:57 The door! Wow!

Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary. I'm in England 🇬🇧 I am impressed with how lovely your graveyard are . Here we have a lot of graveyards that aren't kept as nice as yours in the USA.
Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary. Thanks for keeping these people alive. ❤️
