- full review of the WLmouse beastx after multiple weeks of use. Definitely room to refine/improve but for a 40g magnesium first mouse from a company it is shocking. Also not ridiculously priced compared to the VMSE, and around $50 cheaper than a ULX. Idk about warranty/returns though

I have the red variant and I love it. I don't have issues using grip tape so the design on the side doesn't bother me. Great review
Considering that the WLMouse is in stock and will be delivered within two weeks and Finalmouse still does that awful drop thing, where everything gets bought off by bots anyway, I ordered myself the WLMouse.
We are blessed with good options , love to see it 👌

I just received my WLMouse. While the dongle is still ridicoulous, I have nothing bad to say about it. The newer batches come with four white PTFE dot skates attached that are VERY fast and higher quality then the included black ones in the box. I switched them out with Corepad Skatez, since they were too fast for me. Overall, this is a great mouse. The scroll wheel is a bit slippery since it is made only out of plastic, but this is nitpicking.
The price was also fine. It was 129$ period, no added shipping or tax. Whether they paid the import VAT upfront or skipped it through false declaration, I don't know. Shipping time to the EU was

Wl beast x upgrade from RVM worth it?
Still rocking the old budget razer viper mini (wired). Honestly can't complain about the mouse it does the job for my fingertip grip. Although maybe there is something better out there? I only play fps games.
Was thinking about the wl beast x mouse. Did anyone make an upgrade to this mouse from razer viper mini. Did it feel very different? How does the scroll wheel and side buttons feel on beast x? Was it a significant upgrade worth the money?
Hey boardzy just wanted to say that the screen in the dongle could be causing interference and according to people in the wlmouse discord the correct orientation of the dongle is for the screen to be facing towards the ceiling. Maybe that was causing some of the issues.
What the heck is the point of the screen if it's facing the ceiling though haha
@@ThisIsNotJP if you have good posture you should be able to see the top at all times, but i agree its pretty stupid

@@boardzy Used it for a few hours now in Kovaaks and R6, feels absolutely fantastic. No problems or QC issues that I have noticed so far using 2k. The shape is perfect for my fingertip/claw grips and the side holes actually let my thumb grip a bit better than normal which was a nice surprise.

@@diamondy. The Mini is extremely small. Its really only good for fingertip so if you do any kind of claw then I wouldn't recommend. If you do fingertip then it's a really good choice.
For ur 4k losing connection or spinning up check if ur USB interface is set to energy efficiency mode if so turn it off.
I received my purple Beast X yesterday and have been putting some time on it. I really like it! I lost the QC lottery with the ULX so I've reached out to them for an RMA, but this WLMouse is giving my RVMSE a run for its money. Funny enough, maybe because the purple one doesn't appear to be painted, mine comes in at 39g, and my ULX is 38g. Even if I get a good ULX from the RMA I'm not sure going with a weaker material is worth it for only 1g difference.
I think you can answer if the literal 1g difference is worth the weaker material... If it was a difference around 20% it would be a different story, but the weight difference is so minimal that I personally think the magnesium is a better choice. (Assuming the magnesium doesn't crack over time. I am very curious if the BeastX or the ULX is a longer lasting mouse material wise.)
Not sure if you've seen it or already looked into it but Corsair released a larger size 60g mouse called the M75 Air and I wanted to see your opinions on it. Feels like a pretty unique shape and different from the super small mice releasing recently
It’s pretty mid. Would wait for a sale on it. Not a gpx killer by any means.

Got the black and gold variant for myself and a purple as a gift for a friend, and i find it great for a not quite relaxed but not quite an aggressive claw grip. The weight and shape difference from my GPX superlight make it feel so much snappier and quick compared to the superlight. Definitely happy with my choice to get this mouse.
its the first mouse that is instock and priced reasonably in the landscape, actual W of a company.

hey man, can you review the new skypad's skates?? I think a lot of us, glass paders will watch it. If you will do that review, can you also mention if those are good with other glass pads? Such as Superglide XL and so on, and also how many dots should be applied on the mouse??
being in eu i prefer the beastx much more compared to the ulx until the ulx gets added to maxgaming just because of the price
hearing you mention that WLmouse was open about talking about your unit and ensuring they're more rigorous on their QC is really reassuring because some companies just don't care and produce in masses to sell the most units

Looking at your Logitech
Have you checked out Pulsar Xlite V3 eS yet??. It seems like a pretty great Ergo mouse and with the OLED screen on the bottom that allows you to keep track of battery life and change things on the fly not needing software for it all. I hope we will see the OLED screen on their Ambi mice to some day
Is it an unpopular opinion to not like magnesium? I live in the UK and it just makes my hands cold and the grip is worse then plastic
I've only had my Viper V2 Pro for a few months but I'm tempted to get one of these since I do want a lighter mouse and the Ultralight X is $480aud while also having horrible QC problems. But the Beast X is around the price of a V2 Pro. I'm not sure about replacement skates or the switches and things like that, do you think it'd be a better mouse to use than a V2 Pro?
Hey Boardzy, have you heard anything from WLMouse about a firmware update for improving battery life? I just got my Beast X today and can "literally" watch it drain when using 500Hz, 800DPI and have motion sync off
Question for others, having major issues with the polling, and in general tracking quality is there something that has been announced or is that a QC issue?
Pretty cool that they have a custom option for the mouse and gotta love that they put your dog on it 🫡 I’m still patiently waiting for the ULX Cheetah (S)
The sides on mine flex a bit if i squeeze them and the side buttons arent the best but i still like the shape. The clicks also sound and feel good im a bug fan of that metallic tapping sound when i click it

Great Mouse ngl, only downside for me is the scroll wheel is out of plastic and not rubberized, but besides that its fkn insane
Ordered the mini version. Pretty stoked about the colorways. I do wonder though, you can run this at 1k/2k polling rate right? Spec says 4k/8k.
You can run it at 1/2/4K but I heard there’s gonna be some sort of software update to allow for 8k polling
My beast x has literaly zero wobble on the side Buttons. They are flawless

I recently switched from htx to maya and i feel way more comfortable using a fingertip grip. My scores went up and in game feels more consistent. The overall quality of the maya is also way better imo.
Shape matters that much huh. Is it the grip with that matters?
The maya isnt even good for ftip so this just shows how bad the htx shape is

@@boardzy it works perfectly for me and I think there are a lot of ftip players that swear on the thx shape, it's just not enough room on the right side for me that's why the Maya is more comfortable in that case.

I don't like the dongle/receiver, big, bulky and the cable comes out on the top. Why? Wish it came with a regular USB dongle, they could even save like 10 bucks on the price, win-win.
On the other hand, love the holes on the sides ans the big hole size overall. If you design a skeletonized mouse to save weight, go all in.
Can I use the BeastX with USB cable as well?

honestly the small glass skates that came with them are really smooth compared to tiger ice dots and ptfe skates i have, havent tried them with jade or ceramic dots though
@@sendtony thanks for the reply. I just heard that glass skates leave residues in cloth pads and wears out cloth pads easily or maybe it's the reverse.ptfe skates wore out easily on glass pads?

if you want a mouse that fills your hand more or palm more. probably getting the g pro super light or lamzu atlantis. if you like the viper ultimate but want something lighter. i’d get the beast x

Am I the only person who thinks the Cube is a selling point? It just looks cool to me. Yes it's goofy the cable is on the top but if the mouse is cool enough I'd probably just snatch up a 90 degree right angle USB adapter for a few bucks.

Prolly the Beastx. 4k polling rate and the gpx2 isn't even much of an upgrade from the gpx. Never used one myself personally but from others' reviews there's no big difference

Depending on your perspective the maya will be a better buy because its cheaper and pretty similar weight. But my maya unit felt ass and its another lamzu shape not made for how I grip. Im gonna revisit the next batch for sure but its currently not a top recommendation

@@ACE112ACE112 others seem to have better copies, mine has creaking and flexing on the sides, click variance/hollow feeling, and a bad coating. The last one isnt build quality directly but they seemed to address it on other colorways regardless

The battery should be fixed in the future. People have already made their own software for the wl mouse where the battery lasts double the length
How many grams are companies shaving off with holes?
Low-mid single digits I would imagine. A company like wlmouse could definitely make a solid version, they just choose not to. The new darmoshark magnesium mouse is even more aggressive
@@boardzy Gotcha. Holes on the side digging into fingers is a turn off. Hope more mice don't have holes on top/sides while still being lightweight.

Beast X > ULX. Dont see a reason paying more money for the ULX with the shit QC and delays

Perhaps mine is blessed but I don’t have the QC issues mentioned for the ULX. I think it is going to depend on a lot of factors. As RJN would say shape is King. I might throw in design specifically the cut outs. I have not gotten to try and Beast X but it sounds like with Claw grip for me the cut outs could be a problem on the sides and the hump. Also the side buttons on the ULX are really solid and the Beast X might not be the best. All preference and a little bit of luck.
@@gregm1855i got my beast x yesterday and it’s great for claw and fingertip. Boardzy has orangutan hands. My side buttons don’t wobble, mine has no pre travel and some slight post travel, the coating on my color way(blue and black) is nice and chalky and it’s definitely not front heavy so idk why he’s saying it is. Mine came in at 39 grams as well, the stock grips feel really nice also. No creaking, rattling, or flexing. I’d also like to note that the beast x sides button and m1 m2 are far superior than my Tenz and LL. Super crispy
