I KNEW this was BOA's voice. Her voice is sooo beautiful! I never played any Tales games which I really wish I had, they look like the kind of games I used to love as a teen since I used to be such a HUGE Final Fantasy fan especially of X & X-2
This is one of the best Tales of games I've ever played!!! I love Tales of Graces~~ I'm sure anyone who buys a copy will like it too~~ I bought mine in Japan as I know japanese and it's been some time ToG was launched there ^^ I can't really say anything further the game is just AWESOME :3
@@endray46 Personally I think Arise, Berseria, Xillia and Graces are all great. Can't go wrong with any of them really. Zestiria and Xillia 2 I don't like quite as much.
@@endray46 Vesperia is another semi-modern one to try. Abyss is supposedly pretty good but I've never played it, and thats getting a bit past a decade at 2005.
Abyss is top tier. Gotta play it on 3DS port though. As much as I adore that original JRPG PS2 look, it's definitely outdated graphics wise. I honestly prefer both for their own reasons. They did a stellar job with the port. Literally unbelievably good. Always recommend. Vesperia is also really, really good and holds up well to this day. Symphonia has such nostalgic value to me that would make it impossible to judge. So, so many hours. 2 summers long of pure bliss.
Once I've played more of these games, I will decide which one I like the best, but even then I will still defend Graces to the death. Since apparently no one likes its story??? Granted, your "first" of something always has a huge impact on you, and maybe it IS the worst; I don't know yet. But... I thought it was amazing. Friendship feels EVERYWHERE. :'')
I personally enjoyed Vesperia most in gameplay, eternia for it's clichéd yet entertaining story and xillia for several changes to game mechanics. And Phantasia ofcourse for enormous nostalgia goggles pressed all the way into my brain.
Vesperia was the first Tales game that I had played and is my second favorite Tales game. Even though I haven't played it, but from what I have seen, Tales of Innocence is my favorite game. Luca was ok, Iria was alright, Spada was good, I like Ange a lot, Ricardo is a badass, Kongwai is a pretty good character, QQ was very good, Hermana is my favorite.
Tales of is one of the few RPG franchises that just keeps improving even to this day. You can say Abyss or Symphonia are better (or not), but the games are still great, mechanics keep improving, but they don't forget about what made them successful. Final Fantasy could learn a thing or two. As an extra, I love Symphonia, Abyss, Destiny, Graces and Phantasia, no favorites (I've just played a few hours from Vesperia at a friend's house. I don't have a 360). I do know Jade's my favorit character

I think this is #4 on my JRPG backlog, I'll play it on RPCS3 after Abyss, Xillia 2, and Xenoblade 3 on the switch. I still have so many good games to play, lucky me
i also played graces, and i must admit that it was worth every single peso (i live in chile)... but symphonia, it was worth every single hour! best tales ever, maybe because it was the first tales i ever played. i know some hardcore fans that started with phantasia, believing that every tales after it doesn't live up to their expectations. ... what i'm mean is that when you send a fan to play a game to change his mind don't assume he hasn't play it before

if no one told ya, (i have the english vers of F btw) theres a future arc after the whole main game is finished...about 5-10hrs extra stuff after the game ends.....um from the wii version there are things that were -fixed- on the ps3 version example, the rockgagan doesnt give assloads of exp/gald anymore.
@Zixe123 I agree that in America they're not so common anymore, but i still think they are more common on Sony home consoles. There are indeed some RPGs for the Wii but I'm not sure if PS3 has more. To sum up, RPGs for Sony home consoles (forget the portables for now) are more common around here since PS and PS2 generations. If things are changing now is another story. All I can say is that not having Xenoblade and The Last Story coming to America doesn't make me happy,,,
I expected some sort of war story when the main character's brother comes back, you know like against the evil empire to the north or whatever it was, with a twist at the end of that quest which lead to something more epic but man the plot just completely fell on its face.
I like the tales games, but when seeing the intro I skipped it and went straight to Xillia. Granted I might try it but since the game seems to be easily found at game stores shows that maybe it didn't go off as well as the other tittles did.
Tales if the Abyss is the FF7 of the Tales of franchise Tales of Grace's F is the FF9 underappreciated gem sandwiched between 2 huge releases in Abyss and Xillia its overlooked similar to FF 7 hype and the incredible FF10

But all in all....its longer in general than the wii version, not much has changed from the japanese version via the ps3 version only the port from wii too ps3 really....(if im wrong someone correct me)
You have to think though, a lot of people who play rpg's have a ps3, and the playstation system has been known for having the majority of the rpg's that have come out also. Tales of Vesperia didn't sell that good because a lot of people who play rpg's don't own a Xbox since more people who play shooter games own one, like Halo or something.
@NichtcrawlerX well, it looks purple to me. Even though I've seen in his concept art that it's brown. I know it's brown but it's very purple-tinted. At 0:35 doesn't it look purple to you? concept art has been "wrong" before, though. Estelle's has her as a blonde, which I think is more fitting.
As with all Tales games the story was great, though It didnt (and no tales game has had for me yet) the replay value of Tales of symphonia, Played through that 5 times and Im getting Chronicles. I didn't like ToS2's lack of field and couldn't finish it.
