Nice start to your pollinator garden. It will look great as it grows and fills in.

The wildness of your pollenator garden is fabulous. I let things go wild this year and the weeds/herbs/going to seed veggies have caused a bombarding of pollenators here! Love it!❤

When we bought our house 7 years ago, there was an established Esperanza bush in our yard. I never really knew the value of that lovely bush until 2 years ago when I put in my raised bed garden right next to the Esperanza. The bees absolutely LOVE it and while my neighbors complain about a lack of bees in their garden, I have literally hundreds in mine from the time the Esperanza starts to bloom until frost.

I just dumped several seed packages in one bed. One was a pollinator variety pack. It's growing awesome. The more precise approach didn't work nearly as well. Now I get to play guess the flower variety. I'll just let everything go to seed so I don't have to do anything but water next year.

I’m in Florida and the only bee balm that I haven’t had blooming issues with is dotted Horsemint. I have some that should be blooming in a week.

Good morning! Psa- Remember fox gloves are toxic to dogs. Here in MI it seems like most of what is in my new yard are fall pollinator plants like golden rod, I plan on lavender and other herbs along with some unique flowers. As nice as it is no monks hood for me. 😊

Can you extend it? Make a path to the hose, have more space to reposition or add. I think you would be happier with more space. Maybe add some texture with pots, logs and insect houses.

No we aren't extending it any time soon. We just wanted to fill a small space and leave it natural

They mixed Ground Cherry seeds in with my pack of Cape Gooseberry and because they look different I weeded out 90% of them. I finally decided to leave two plants growing in hopes of identifying them and they started blooming and making fruits right away but none are ready yet. The others just started growing little blooms high on the plant that haven`t opened yet. So I have nearly 20 of one and only 2 of the other. I went ahead and got Ground Cherry seeds too. I wonder what surprises are in that package? People were complaining to sellers because of confusion over the names always getting mixed up so they started adding both varieties. I go by the botanical names but even that isn`t reliable. I don`t care. I want both types anyway.

I love the pollinator garden! Does Blue Mist work in your area? It’s native to this part of No. Texas and laughs at summer heat. It’s a butterfly magnet and I’m thinking of putting it somewhere near my raised beds in the hopes they’ll stop by the vegetables.

    Hi Young Ben!
Your mystery plant is not a cosmo or aster but I believe is a dahlia. 🤗
I’m in 7a and gardenias won’t winter over here. Does it not freeze where you are?
