In my understanding sa video, the literal Gayuma manipulates your heart and mind. It was used as a metaphor on how technology also manipulates your heart and mind. AJ as the techno-babaylan entices her victims. Nung blue pa yung lighting ng club, it was still fun pero nung nag orange na yung lighting ng club, it presents the addictive and manipulative side of tech. It showed how, the boys were drained of their energy. They were reaching out to her. Adik na sila, kailangan na nila si AJ. Unti-unti na silang na-imprison ni tech-babaylan. The "horror" story is that the boys didn't get out as shown in the end. Which raises the question, tayo kaya, matagal na ba tayong nabiktima ni Techno-Babaylan ng hindi natin alam?
Gayuma has climbed up my list of favorite songs, overtaking several other tracks from Pasulong that are perhaps easier to appreciate immediately. Gayuma sort of creeps up on you, entrances .... Great job, Mo, Alas, Taneo. This is how Alamat is inventing their own subgenre within Pinoy Pop.
I didn't know na babaylan pala role ni AJ dito, now everything makes sense... now every time I watch this MV tumatayo na balahibo ko, especially that it hints about internet addiction... just dmn Alamat! You did it again.
