What a weird game to have run in the morning. This is the kinda game that needs a crowd laughing along.
Nobody would laugh since you can't understand the jokes which are a major part of the run
I'm really digging this new thing where videos start just before the run.
Really beats uploading an hour of donations and crowd footage before the run starts
Especially when they cram in the maximum amount of ads

Watching this speedrun of Simpsons Hit & Run is the best complication with the speedrunner Sadlybadlyy, a really nice explaination and the perfect game makes a perfect entertaining speedrun.
Honestly runs like these are probably my most favourite! The ones where barely anyone is there, yet the couch, staff and runner all still give it their best like the world is watching (mainly cos it is but still). Bless these guys!

Definitely! It's more prominent at 1:23:13 I tried listening to the soundtrack to find out what song it was and the wiki says the song played on this level is called cell outs but it sounds nothing like it. Must be a mod or something.

SHAR was Radical, not THQ. They got bought by Vivendi and then ended up under Activision when those two merged.
The rights situation is apparently a complete mess but that has more to do with it being a licensed game than anything else.

I loved this game as a kid. I played it so much that the disc was more scratches than disc. I miss it. Good job, Sadly. Great run.

MISSION TERMINEE
in any game that has it I tend to prefer first-person driving over third-person. Feels more precise, get a better sense of how big/small the car is, how the car is responding to smaller movements and how fast it's going. But if precision isn't a factor (the driving is easy) it's always nice to just sit back in third person and admire the car.

Apparently, there's high quality rips playing in game. during the flying limo chase mission, you can hear what sounds a lot like "We are number 1" during the entirety. very interesting.

A little late to this, but that’s ok! Super entertaining run of one of my all-time favorites. Makes me want to revisit it. We need a great Simpsons game for the current gen!

During some of the early game I thought I was hearing Flintstones music during the missions, and now at 1:23:36 I am hearing "We are Number 1" unmistakably. Is this a modded PC version? Because I can't remember that on Gamecube.
