I always wondered what Kvothe sounded like. Truly beautiful.
Now I understand how he won the talent pipes.
Lol, I ended up watching this video because I wanted to know what the lute sounded like after reading The Wise Man's Fear.
Love Kvothe, Though, this instrument is invented by Islam, wich fits the Demon Cycle. (The Daylight War Book #3 as good as Name of the Wind) Though, for some reason, that side character plays the Violin.. To agonize demons, yes..
Same :D i didn't know lute sounded so beautiful and now i can fall deeper into the story whenever Kvothe plays.
I'm here because of Kvothe too. Hahahah😁
A romance full of charm and sweetness ..... a pleasure to listen and cheer for the delicacy of interpretation.
A performance that delivers so simply that it channels a timeless allure. Many thanks!
Your playing of this piece has taught me how to express this early music much better in my own playing. And the tone of that instrument couldn't be better. Very rich and clear.
O, wow, delicate, fragile and smoothly sad... In my opinion it couldn't be played any better ! Thank you !
נהדר אופירה! איזו טכניקה מיוחדת ביד ימין
The way your hands move is like grace.
you mean graceful
That is a performance that will surely put a smile on the face of beautiful Euterpe. May your days be sunny, your strings never break, and your crowds be kindly, my friend.
Words can't describe how i feel now.
I think i fell in love...
Thank you very much!
This is beautiful, I had no idea how a lute sounded and the Kingkiller Chronicles made me curious, glad I made a search on UA-cam! Very well played and an amazing instrument!
No words can describe how beautifully placed that was, This is my number 1 favourite Lute piece. Bravo mad'am
The lute is the coolest of all medieval string instruments. :)
Well duh, its the precursor to the guitar, how could it not be cool
@@thedeviousduck8027 Don't forget the precursor to the lute: the mighty oud!
This particular lute is very similar in design to the 12-string guitar. You can probably tune it in EBGDAE and enjoy familiar chord applicatures.
@@avrorik369 the usual tuning is GDAFCG: like a guitar tuned in G (capot on the 3rd fret) but with the third string one note flat (like the guitar with the G dropped to F#). First string usually single, the rest octaves or unisons.
I’d contend that the hurdy gurdy is up there.
This music is so beautiful! I am envious of your ability to play the lute! 😊
Beautifully played. Nice to know I am not the only one here after reading the kingkiller chronicles
La magnificenza della magnificenza! Bellissimo!
Thank you!
I love to listen to this while studying... It makes me fell so peaceful. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful music, beautiful lady.
"I'm a bard by trade. Perhaps you've heard of me?"
"If it's a lady you're looking for, you best look elsewhere. Once Mikael gets them, they're got."
Sehr schön! Ich mag Ihre ruhige Art und entspannte Technik. Alles Gute, Andreas Martin, Laute
Andreas Martin vielen Dank!
Really beautiful, thank you.🇬🇧🎶🎸
nice to see ladies playing the lute. I am a harpist but i love to listen to the lute and play the lutes music on the harp.
Just beautiful ! "the angle of music."
What beautiful playing -- you are a master, thank you for sharing your art.
Thank you !
Anyone watching this video and after reading Name in The Wind? : )
It's "The Name of the Wind," and yes :)
Awesome!! It's such a great book. Oh yes my bad on misreading the title..: P
I can't believe other people are here because of The Name of the Wind
yes
wasn't expecting this to be the top comment, but here we are.
Il brano è di una grande bellezza, sembra di tornare nel passato e forse ascoltare la musica come poteva percepirla una persona di quei tempi
Very beautiful piece, very well played and very well recorded. Thank you.
Breathtaking!
Flawless, yet soulful, and that is the ultimate combination. Great sound. Thanks.
i had to listen to this for homework and i could not stop watching it

Beautiful.
Beautiful lute setting of the song. Very begining of the Renaissance lute, indeed !
Deftly played with beautiful sound.
Congratulations !
Superb. Many thanks for this.
Thank you!
Me parece una versión que expresa toda la melancolía del tema, que la intérprete ha interiorizado perfectamente, sin concesiones a la brillantez ni a la exhibición. Bravo
Such a beautiful instrument to listen to! This is so amazing! It makes me want to learn to play the lute with a passion!
A silence of three parts
But no. There was no music
Bravo young lady. So full of pathos and so beautifully executed. Hope more artists of your age help keep European musical traditions alive.

Wistful, just as the composer intended. "Goodbye my friends." The words go with the music.
יפה מאוד!
תודה רבה!
Very well done, being used in a DnD campaign I'm in.
***** Fair enough.
+ThatZommy Im about to use it in DnD
Lol it's perfect right? I'm using it myself.
Adrian lyacon Yeah. Another good source for DnD music would be Michael Levy, he's recorded a lot of historical music with instruments from the time period.
That is so what I'm about to use it for. Perfect D&D riffs. This is some good stuff.
This calms me so much. I love it, thank you
I would want to fall asleep with this every day
great feeling/soft interpretation!
Yes.
[ sublime ]
That is great right and left-hand lute technique. Watch and learn.
Brava!! I like this music, beautiful played.
Wow, this was beautiful! 🖤
So delicate ...
Splendid.
MR
thank you
Brilhante ! Parabéns !
such a great instrument.. wish i could get lessons!
Me too
Amazing!
interesting and beautiful.
Beauty,beauty ♫♪♥
this is amazing!!! how much time did you take to learn/compose that song? and to play Renaissance Lute?
Smiley Face I would assume 2 years minimum for a complete musical novice. For someone who has played a stringed instrument such as mandolin or classical guitar, it would be considerably easier. The hardest thing would be learning the notes.
Thank you!
That was really nice, well done
Marc Pullen thank you!
Amazing! Wow! Thank you :-)
belíssimo!
