Dual Energy CT Systems enable material specific imaging rather than traditional Hounsfield Units.

Monoenergetic image has contrast more similar to traditional CT but without beam hardening. Iodine maps have water signal suppressed so will just highlight iodine uptake. Since bone is in both iodine and water images you will see that in both
