Something I've always wondered on these trucks is how much difference 2 shocks per corner makes compared to 1. American Scout lands kinda rough with the 1 per corner setup, but then Allen Pezo's 2 trucks land smooth as can be, I'd say even better than most on the circuit with 2 per corner. And Jeff Cook's Hot Rod Harry seems to perform well with that setup. Really happy you did this show again, hoping it won't be the last time monster trucks run here. Mike Vaters made an awesome technical track for racing.
Totally different shocks on those two trucks you mentioned. Predator and Scout have bigger shocks on them. It’s all in how you set them up too and the weight of the truck in question. Predator is super light under 10,000, down in the mid 9000s. Scout is also very light weight as Andy built it to make money and be able to take a beating. The majority of trucks you see running larger promotions now are pushing 13000 even 14000 pounds. They’ve gotten quite heavy again so with the smaller shock cans the dual shocks per corner are almost a must.
@BackChannelStudios Gotcha. Thanks for the bit about the weight and shocks. I heard a little from Jeff Cook's channel on his Hot Rod Harry series about Steve Comb's shock setup and that Allen had bought at least one set of them, but interesting that weight has a lot of impact on it.
