I just picked up an RP360XP, and it is awesome! I am thinking of getting a RP360 for a backup unit. I think it sounds awesome, I don't need anything else, I am a happy man!
Just a tip from an old RP user and programmer.. The patches you make direct or through computer monitors will never sound good or the same through the clean channel pre-amp section of a guitar amplifier.. If your guitar amp has an effects loop always plug into the return.. You won't be dealing with the noise and weird edge of stacking two preamps.. The sound will be much better and cleaner for any over driven sounds.. the clean may take a bit of tweaking to your liking... and remember when it comes to processors that less is more. The less efx that you load on a patch the better your tone will be.. and don't be afraid to put a wah and a line booster (mxr) or transparent overdrive (sweet baby) in front of the processor to give your patch some gas or edge when needed... Enjoy and Rock on!!
onefatstratcat - Did you work for Digitech, or program on your own like I have to every time I buy a guitar processor? I say why don’t they ever give you the 3 basic sounds you need to play? ...clear, semi-dirty, nice reasonable lead? It’s alway these wild sounds you can’t actually use in music. And musicians are not typically tech oriented, so I get people bringing their pedals to me to get what they need. The RP360 does have many presets I can start from though, I will say that. It’s a great pedal, and I own many more expensive ones. The 360 holds it’s own.
With a USB connection of the RP 360(XP) to a PC you can save the patch (or any patch) to it and share it that way as a file. You can also backup all setting of the device in one big file and copy so everything to another device all patches included. Thats in more ways cool because if you have to do a master reset for any reason you can have your patches saved and reload them after the reset. Actually a pretty cool feature. ;-)
Achei muito top seu vídeo!! Tenho uma pedaleira dessa mas não consigo acertar o timbre dela. Acho ela muito aguda. Esse vídeo me ajudou acertar um caminho para os parâmetros de som que gosto. Obrigado!!
Thank you very much for sharing this. I hope you can share some other presets, or the basics in how to build good patches. I have the same unit, but little experience.
That would be much, much appreciated. I saw that the factory presets include many effects that are turned off, so I wonder if they still have any effect on the signal (logic says no, of course)
I agree :) When you don't need autofocus in case of fixed distance to the main object in a scene - use manual fixed focus :) Anyway, the value of the video is another point :)
Sounds great. Suppose it's possible to get the Clapton sound and store it on Footswitch 1, and then continue to use 2 & 3 as separate stomp boxes ? I'm currently using the pedal for Distortion, Delay, Reverb. Thx
Very CREAM type of Clapton sound that you first used without a doubt had the sound of the solo on Sunshine of Your Love.Great guitar those Jazzmasters and the big cool ass big wound single coil pickups.
Cool man! I have the same RP360 and surprised with tons and tons of what it can do. I had a problem with it recently when I upgraded my OS to W10. The software does not anymore work as it is only compatible to W8. I contacted already DT regarding software upgrade but till now they have not yet came back with a solution. So I have to do all the tweaking manually now as it is way way easy when it was connected to my laptop. Cool tone though... I have also downloaded a lot of patches from the DT website.....
The Nexus download isn't on the Digitech product page anymore and what is there doesn't work!..... so I have a new RP360XP that I'm unable to connect to my Mac. I'm guessing that I'm too late on this as most instructions are 4 or 5 years old but is there anybody out there who can advise me of how to connect or maybe find drivers to download and install? Thanks
witold troboś co chcesz? Rp 360? Powiem ci że jak już ustawisz brzmienia to jest git, ale dużo z tym zabawy, nie to co np ms 70. Ale powiem cj że rp 360 to mega dobry sprzęt.

It's a great tutorial on how to tune the sound for some style you want to have. Thanks a lot!

did you say in a live setting you turn the reverb off? why?
can this go straight into a mixer/ soundboard since it has a cabinet setting?
Hey nice video, it explains well how this pedal works thanks :) About your focus problem, just choose manual focus instead of automatic.

it sounds good overall..... but I am interested how you do that if you have a 2 humbucker setting in your guitar!!! is it doable?
Hi
Don’t forget to hit SAVE before leaving. Also the Nexus software works on my MacBook/ even better on my Windows 10 machine (in 2022) Good luck 🤞
Why didn't you use your right hand to change the settings, if you had, you wouldn't have been blocking the screen, every time you turned the knob.

Any suggestions on setups for acoustic?
pretty good tone
how to save it after you change all the tones
Can you move the effect pedal positions in the chain without deleting any of them?
Yes you can have the effects in any order you like without deleting them
Too Cool ...Thanks !

Something about this just doesn't sound right for a Cream tone. Sounds more like fuzz and fizzs than overdrive distortion.
