Everyone’s commenting on Zariel. But I really appreciate when Eggsoup said “a good player makes you feel like your playing bad”, and how he went on to explain the details. How spacing certain moves can create unfamiliarity, and how those few centimeters of distance can make all the difference.
it’s a funny, almost naturally balancing result of metas existing. in games with more dramatic differences in tiers you see it all the time - niche characters may not have the most powerful or consistent options but because of a lack of representation their effectiveness gets a boost when i was twelve my grandfather took me to the annual state farmer’s market and i shit inside half a watermelon
One thing I've noticed is that a lot of people play like they're following a flow chart so a lot of time with scythe and gauntlets an easy way to dodge their stuff is to dodge stupidly. Or sometimes even just not moving can throw their strings off.
People learn combos and usually only rely on that or stacking attacks with their partners. I am intuitive usually, but in 2s with randoms, as the match is going, people start to get really careful and petty with their stocks at one stock. They stop doing the combos and just straight up sig to beat me in the end (usually, I'm finding that's because I play the game in the morning on an empty stomach which makes me play terribly) 😭
A few weeks ago I was playing experimental with zariel doing daily’s or something and stomped this diamond player, then when we rematched I switched to one of my mains and got clapt, I’d agree zariel is underrated

Could never find the right character to play in brawlhalla when I first started playing.. Until I got to zariel. Just everything about their kit feels good. The only thing that I don't like is the gauntlet down sig. It's alright it just launches anybody straight up but the more or less have to be right on top of them for it to work. Has its niche but it's the only sig I struggle to hit consistently. But I recently got platinum using them and I genuinely find it hard to play anyone else because of how much zariel I've played

Honestly sometimes I try to go out of my comfort zone and play characters I don't know about to try them out and discover the sigs as I play because to be honest I'm not the best person at using combos and lights so I compensate with predicts using my Sigs and every time I land one its so satisfying, and no I don't spam, spammers can delete the game
unorthodox players do make the battle different then usual something ive noticed when i made diamond when i realize they play unorthodox i know i have to make a change in my playstyle to win sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt im getting better tho
