India’s Untouched Heaven Tso Moriri Lake Ladakh

Tso Moriri lake in Changthang region of Ladakh is one of the most beautiful, calm and sacred (for ladakhis) high altitude lakes in India. In fact, it is the largest high altitude lake in India that is entirely in Indian Territory.
The lake is at an altitude of 4,522 m (14,836 ft). It is the largest of the high altitude lakes entirely within India and entirely within Ladakh in this Trans-Himalayan biogeographic region.
When we started our journey from Pangong Tso to Tso Moriri, We didn’t knew it would be such an adventurous journey due to dirt tracks and too much off-roading after 100 kilometres.
There are two routes to reach Tso moriri from Pangong lake-
1- Pangong Tso (Spangmik) - Man - Merak - Chusul - Tsaga - Loma - Nyoma - Mahe - Sumdo - Kiagar Tso - Tso Moriri (Korzok)
2-Pangong Tso (Spangmik) - Man - Merak - Chusul - Nama - Kaksang La - Horala - Mahe - Sumdo - Kiagar Tso - Tso Moriri (Korzok)
The route diverges from Chusul and both the routes are very thrilling and I believe with great struggle comes great experience. The experience of Tso moriri is everlasting and one should experience this once in their lifetime.
With Tso Moriri, You can visit Korzok, A village in the Leh district of Ladakh, India. It is located close to Nyoma, in the Rupshu region and block, on the shores of the Tso Moriri lake. It is among the highest towns in the world and the highest settlement in India.
When international tourist come to ladakh, Tso Moriri is the first location that is on their priority list, Not because it is ladakh but the breathtaking beauty of this place.
