I'm continually amazed how often this video still gets recommended! Just over 2 years later and we're still going strong! - Perry
That’s AMAZING and I cannot wait to get back down there!
love u ood
3 year old video that is still relevant and cool as hell! Great Product, Great interview with an awesome guest who is obviously passionate about his product. Around the holidays Ill be looking into buying a couple of those automatic blasters. One just doesnt seem to be enough, these things look to good not to have at least two!!
I love how the guy smiles while talking about his design. It really shows how much he loves what he does.
What is your Max Capacity?
Stryfe: 18
Nemesis: 100
Jupiter With Proton Pack: YES
Jupiter With Proton Pack: How much can you carry?
Stryfe is 50
Prometheus: people are forgetting me🤧😞
You can tell this man loves what he does! Its amazing!! He is just running around wanting to show everything and let him have fun shooting his inventions. A true innovator if ive ever seen one!
The sound of the round coming out of the gun is so satisfying. Great video man, awesome stuff. On top of that, go PRUSA!
Luke is one of the heroes in our hobby! Fun to see your perspective on what he does. Informative video!
Best,
Marten (NIRODHA)
Fantastic video. I got my kids started making and modding things with Nerf guns. One is now a mechanical engineer and now starting his Masters with an emphasis on, what else, 3D printing!
That's AMAZING!
"I'm Joel! And this is a bad ass vid for yall! Realised the trigger." Haha
consumers: I want a super fast gun that shots at high rate
Nerf: no
customers: fine ill do it myself
Gotta love people with a passion for things.
I feel the struggle
It is a pleasure watching someone so passionate about something! You can clearly see passion in Luke's words. Great video Joel!
I. Just imagine Bill has a giant smile on his face the whole time!
THE WHOLE TIME
Well I know own a Jupiter so I guess thanks.
I'm also down about $250
I guess these prints are worth a shot.
MY FAVORITE CANADIAN
Ha! I see what you did there! 🧐
Bom cha
Ha ha
*H a H a H a*
Ha Ha!
With the cheese ball container did you ever consider blasting cheese balls into your mouth? That was my first thought.
Cheese balls would deposit s much reside that the blaster would clog and would become a health hazard over time.
@@fhuber7507 Your a health hazard over time.
that would be painful, since those balls are going 70mph
Also believe Drac did a video on the subject of shooting cheeseballs once uppon a time when the Draculina was still around.
funny af, but absolutely gross if you really think about it. All that oily cheese dust stuck in the loop getting stale and leaving residue, not to mention the potential for growing bacteria? lol im good. Ill just be a normal fat person xD
This looks like so much fun! 3D printing fits so perfectly with these mods.
Modders: names pistol Jupiter
Nerf: I’m going to end this man’s whole career
Great Joel! I hope that you can do more of these kinds of videos. Showing entrepreneurs who have managed to use hobby-level 3D Printers to actually produce their products on a production level is great. Much like Prusa has done. Investing hundreds of thousands, or millions of dollars on conventional equipment - like injection molding and expensive dies, is far beyond the ability of many who have the ideas, but lack the necessary funding. As the company grows, they will, of course, expand into more conventional production methods. But, those like Prusa and Luke have proved that it is actually possible to start small, yet still have the ability to produce their products in medium-level production quantities - without all of the headaches involved in the typical startup businesses that are forced to seek typical finance methods. Kudos and High Fives to them and you!
I have a question if anyone knows the answer? What are some other entrepreneurs who found similar success starting a 3d printing business?
@@biziluxgames8924 I googled it and got this I don't know if this is what you are looking for but here it is, www.3dnatives.com/en/30-entrepreneurs-in-3d-printing-additive-manufacturing-100920184/
I’ve got to agree
I love this kind of stuff, this is where 3D printing really shines. Enabling anyone to manufacture anything and make a living out of it.
poor Bill had to clean up after Joel..
and Bill, i love the ILTMS shirt!!! it is great to see makers supporting each other!!!!!!
The 85 rounds system
Reminds me of the PPSH rate of fire
But with the proton pack one, it’s looks more like the speed of an MG3 (Germany’s modern version of the MG42)
Imagine having a firing range with a sloped floor, which feeds all of the balls back to a central collection point.
Such a fun video! Very inspiring as well!! Thanks so much for making this Joel. And thanks to Out of Darts for sharing his knowledge and passion.
So cool to see Luke outside the Nerfing sphere. He's a genuinely great guy and a blast to hang out with. He's done big things in a relatively short time within the hobby and definitely deserves to be known about.
Luke is RAD!
I dont understand the title but nice video nonetheless
Edit: I now see that "Out of Darts" is a business and it makes much more sense
It's so cool that the Nerf community has gotten so big! I'm honored that I actually know Luke
I'm honored to know Luke as well!
Its fascinating and successful people like this, running a full production company out of their garage, that make me hold distain for people who complain that they dont have the resources to start a business. NOT every business is started with "daddy money". In fact, theres thousands more self-made mom and pop businesses that find success, than major corporations. Albeit on a much smaller scale (obviously).
Vortex Gun: Please tell me someone makes 3D printed versions of this. And Ammo.
My ghod, it was the sniper-rifle of Nerf!
Yes, so much yes. 3D printing Nerd AND Out Of Darts all in the same video! This is freakin awesome
I'm going to his Channel right now and subscribing
Yass! I’ve been waiting for a collab with these two!
Nice shot Bill. He deserved that. Revenge is a dish best served cold :-)
That's the truth :)
Two of the best non gaming channels on UA-cam in colaboration. Amazing! Keep up the good work guys!
Oh my god!!!! My favorite two channels did a collaboration!!! This is an amazing day
BEST DAY EVER
Damn near spit soda all over my computer when he named the "Desert Eagle" style nerf gun the "Dessert Pigeon". Love it.
Two of my favorite 3D printers! I would watch this video from begin to end even if it was an hour long. Such a good video!
Awesome video Joel. So cool to see what other makers are up to and producing. Loved those blasters 👍
Holy crap how did I miss this video!
So satisfying!!
Love it!
If this looked fun to you, there are tons of Nerf clubs across the world to get out there and play with these crazy toys. The bay area in California has 6 active clubs, there's clubs all over the US, and in countries like the UK, Australia, Germany, Singapore and so much more... It's spreading like crazy, so odds are there's something near you, and if there isn't get in touch with our community and we'll help you form a club! We just came back from a 7 hour indoor highly competitive event today in California. There's so many different ways to play. Maybe we'll see Joel at a game soon?!
This is AMAZING to hear!!!
That's awesome. Mu grandson is 5 and is into nerf blasters big time now. He had some that were broken. So I looked on UA-cam to see how to fix them. Like you do. And outa of darts is one of the people we started watching. Awesome yo see different hobbies coming together. Love your channel and punished props!!!
My two most favorite UA-camrs together
This is a VERY informative and fun video. More please! @Out of Darts, may you have much success going forward!
Great mix too the format... kool to see community characters and their crazy concoctions.
It took me a few reads of the title to make it make sense in my head.
I've had the honor of fighting next to Luke. He's a really great guy and huge influence on this sport!
Oh how cool! I bet he is a monster when playing!
Proton pack:
"I am heavy weapons guy...and this is my weapon."
Oooo, why not build a nerf sentry turret, using motion cameras, a rasperry pi and an automated proton pack.
EMPEROR_ZAVIN I NEED THIS !!!! 🙃
Get mark rober in on this
Actually, I just started designing it
Truck roof mounted Gatling turret
Welcome to the community my friend. Two of my favorite UA-camrs together, I never thought something this awesome would happen.
I never thought it would either, but SO happy it did!
We have a roughly 58 gallon barrel at home and the guy said we could attach anything. Imagine a guy running around like a literal heavy unit and has thousands of bullets just flying out of the end of the gun. Now that’s terrifying.
great video! Love the hoodie, was over half way before I noticed lol.
I just wanna buy that small hurricane in a cheaper price, damn, that's a working blaster
I really like the design of the Jupiter. It's the most intuitive Design for a nerf gun I've ever seen👍
dude that first gun was beast. I need this but the modular is where it is at. thanks for always doing cool stuff
It's so fun to see the collabs.
Freaking awesome, there is no shortage of things to do with 3dprinting!
2:23 Ok I cant unsee that
Hi Joel, awesome vid, ordered Luke's book to get my Godson's Nerf gear up to scratch, Luke, great inspiration to set up a new business
When Phil screamed at the beginning 😂
Steady on there my son, It's quite possible that you're having way too much fun in this video.
I may have to phone the fun police any minute now!
Ok, that's it, I really need to roll up my sleeves and do a HIR Gatling gun.
YESSSSSS
I know this is pretty late, but it's actually been done already. Check out Captain Xavier on UA-cam to see it.
That feeder reminds me of my old Halo paintball hopper, which I still have! Amazing!
That looked like so much fun. I haven't played with Nerf guns since whistling darts came out.
I see that Vortex Tornado in the background... My favorite Nerf growing up!
Luke is the best. I make sure i order from him at least once a month
Wow a crossover video of my two favorite hobbies! Awesome video!
This won't be the last time you see Luke and I and Bill doing something awesome together.
@@3DPrintingNerd Glad to hear it! 3D printing has become a large part of our community in recent years. I actually bought my first printer (wanhao i3) from one of your earlier videos!
thank you so much for doing this video you have opened my eyes in the modding world
That is awesome to hear!
THE SOUND!!! 💖💖💖
Woah! This is so cool. So glad you did this cause now I know of his channel. Those guns look so fun to play with! Also the colors make them look even cooler. Great video.
Thank you! I'm SO happy we were able to get down there for a visit!
I love seeing stuff like this, good work!
I do as well - I cannot wait to get back down there to visit Luke!
I love to see bright guy's making something from scratch with new tech, good look to you
Awesome!
I LOVE THE MAGNUS EFFECT
Really get the book its so good to get you up to speed on modding. Come have adult Nerf fun like Joel did
That proton pack is great. The next thing would be to set it up so the hopper is closer to a funnel really. Maybe you’ll be able to get rid of blower.
this is absolutely awesome
This is super cool, love to see the nerf hobby get more exposure
I love that I've found a new hobby ;)
Awesome video, looks like great fun
Just love this
As soon as he said we can basically do anything with the proton pack in terms of size, the first thing was make a barrel and stock attachment for the Jupiter and then mount it on top of a truck, then inside of the truck is just a huge ass box full of rival rounds
Another great vid! :D thanks!
yesssss so great 2 fav youtubers
Favorite collaboration
I cannot argue with that :)
Wow, interesting update
Thanks for sharing 👍😀
Super cool use of the magnus effect.
Love the Video technical and fun what else could I ask for, Love it !!!!!!!!!
I need that back back one for my office mate at RR.
this looks like the best job ever
Ayyyyy finally my hobby is getting more exposure!
I'd want that Fast Heavy on my team any day! Fantastic!
"Fast heavy" man, I didnt know gloves of running urgently exist irl now :^)
Well done luke it's great to spread awareness of nerf
Out of darts is the man !!!!!
Wicked Sick!!!!!
Im happy to order a product that the makers take pride in.
Omg, I used to have one of those Tornado launchers when I was a kid! It went farther than a dart ever would!
So inspired!
A safety section in a book about things that throw small bits of foam? If you manage to actually hurt yourself with one you deserve a Darwin award.
Small bits of foam, with rubber tips, very very fast.
@@3DPrintingNerd eh, even on the high end with the modified springers or CO2 guns they sting a bit at most, the only concern which should be obvious to anyone is eye protection because they are the only exposed part soft enough to be damaged.
super cool!
Great interview Joel. Bring your High Five Jupiter to MRRF!
00:07:34 Yeah, that was my first reaction after I built my HIRricane kit! Such a great product.
Great interview! Very interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing!
Thank YOU for watching!
