Terry, I cannot believe you could re-do windows that badly damaged without making new ones! I've learned so much from your videos. You have done a phenomenal job with them. How beautiful they turned out! Bravo.
Me and my husband just love watching your progress every week and are so impressed with the work you all do. The cottage is looking really lovely, we can’t wait to see it all finished and are really looking forward to seeing it all decorated for Christmas. The windows look great once treated and filled, well done! Finally, would just like to say what a gorgeous little boy Jonathan is, he’s such a credit to you all. Keep up the good work and thank you for keeping us entertained every Wednesday and Sunday.
I agree with Jen Zen, who knew ?? I sometimes watch shows over because you all make me feel good. Your love and kindness towards each other comes through and always makes me feel warm inside. Sending you nothing but love back. 💕🥰💕
Today's the last day of Hanukkah and my two year old insisted on lighting up the candles🕎... So, we all gathered around the flames to sing the holiday tunes ... Can't wait to wish you the happiest, warmest Christmas ever ...
Boy the years of neglect has really taken a toll on the beautiful windows ... So glad you are restoring them properly. They will look new when you finish totally next year. Crown molding makes and finishes a room. That looks so good. Wow, that does a great job, looks original again once you get the paint on. It has to be so satisfying for you to see this transformation!
That wood hardener is a miraculous thing! I had never heard of it until watching your videos. I couldn’t believe how much different (and better!) the windows looked when you were done. Well done, Terry! And the third floor is really coming along so nicely!
Great progress this week! I was surprised to see the sheet rock up already upstairs in Terry and Ash’s apartment, with the coving going on. What a relief it must be to have the windows in the salon done, Terry. All snug and cozy now for your family Christmas! You did a super job and just as you said, good as new. It is quite amazing what the wood filler can achieve. You would never know the bottom of those windows were so broken down. Can’t wait now until Wednesday to see the progress on the cottage! xx
That must be a great feeling Terry having a draft free salon The wood hardener works a treat on the window frame’s at least now you’ll be able to have the heating on & feel your hands 🙌 while working I bet you can’t wait to start painting Keep smiling everyone 😍🎄
It's a lot of hard work to repair the windows rather than replace them with reproduction ones, but it will be worth it in the long run. I always think it's better to repair than replace where you can and to retain the heritage/original features. It's all starting to come together and I can't wait to see the finished cottage and bedrooms
Its fantastic how you transform those windows with such care! So many people would just rip them out but it’s amazing what you can do, really inspiring
I love to see the excitement that you each have for the progress you are making. I am so happy for you all that you will have some warm spaces to rest and relax in after each day’s hard work! Thank you for sharing your life with us.
You're ambitious .. Sealing the windows and just cleaning up what there now is a big job. Now add decorating for Christmas, that's a tall order my dear. Do be to tired to enjoy the holiday. Get some snuggling time in to💋💋🇨🇦❤🇨🇦
Nice to have a "wind free" room without all of the drafts ready for Christmas. So glad that you now have heat and no drafts in your (one day beautiful) Salon ready for Christmas! Congratulations and look forward to see what is next. Your bedroom is also coming along nicely. Well done to all of you!!
Another great leap forward you can see the outside taking shape from the windows that have been renovated they stand out. Great job 👏 big tickle on the tum for Patrick.
So thrilled for you all to get rid of the cold drafts. That such a huge thing. What a wonderful skill to be able to do the windows yourself and save so much money. Best of all upstairs is starting to look like a home, so important to have a place of your own. Cannot wait to see what you all have cooked up for the days of Christmas. I'm sure it will be a hoot and a half.
YOU ARE THE. ONES ! Who show that dreams can come true! Passion ,motvation and very hard work. You are Spirit lifters . Such a pleasure and so educational to see your work.
What a great job on the windows. Well done ! I admire your patience in the preparation. They’re looking really fabulous. Looking forward to seeing what you can accomplish in the weeks to come . Such dedication to refurbishing this large room . Good luck .
Great job restoring the window..i would have liked to have seen the glazing part tho. Please be careful handling glass, even the small panes can break and slice your hand open! Please use gloves...i have seen horrific injuries ( eye protection too...please be safe!)
Finally watched the newest vlog. Terry, the way you restore the windows is amazing. Great job!!!! I don't know, if I'd have your patience. Thank you for sharing another vlog with all of us. See you Wednesday!! xxx
Thank you very much Patrick. You may need to learn some of the skills for your place in the future, windows and roofs are always the worst. Would be lovely for you to visit next time you are both over 🥰
@@chateaudelalacelle We had to learn all kinds of things for our two prior renovations but you are right, there will be skills that are completely new to learn. Roofing is one of them. I have restored furniture since 1990, so work ng with wood hardener and such is not foreign. However, what you did in the vlog is art. We'd love to meet up with you next time we fly over to France. Be safe and see you Wednesday.
How exciting that the third floor room is so close to getting done! The windows look almost new when you’re done. I’ve never heard of the hardener either until watching your videos. Always good to learn new things. Merry Christmas!
Im so glad you are repairing and restoring the original windows instead of replacing them. I know the new double pane ones are energy-efficient, but just knowing the windows are original is a plus in my opinion.
The window prep was magnificent and when it was painted you could see all your hard work really paid off. Love your attention to detail 👏👏👏👏👏 The chateau is already smiling at you both 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Ladies: find yourself a man who will do a "let's get naked" dance for you like Ash does for Terry! Terry: your window renovating skills have improved so much in such a short time!
Great job Terry on the windows! Now the salon can be readied for Christmas! 🎄 Glad your and Ash's room is ready for painting! As always, love the chat at the end! Thank you for sharing, take really good care of yourselves, stay well! Much love Kathy x 💖(Ontario, Canada)

And when it's a free day I'm sure france has a a old Turkish bath somewhere...I want to have one just watching you all.. take care and enjoy your new home ..
I just can’t get over how the windows are transformed. They look to far gone to do anything with accept to burn for firewood. Fantastic job Terry, Yvonne
I hope that when you totally replace the windows it will be something sympathetic to the chateau style. I know you’re looking at just fixing these up, and many chateau owners keep original windows.
Omg.. with the four of you in line in front of he new windows, it is so easy to see that Terry is his mothers son, and in this video, ash looks like a book end to Tom!
Wow, what sad shape the windows were in! you're doing an amazing job on them. I imagine it is very cold with them open. Could you not put a sheet of something maybe clear vinal, so the light is still good, over them to warm it and let your products cure better? Looks cold!
If you warm the putty in your hands, you can make narrow rolls that you fill in along the edges. You should not flatten it before adding the pane the pane. Just push it carefully and the putty will flatten, but not go past the edge of the frame. Then do the same on the outside with a thicker roll and flatten that at an angle. Should go a lot faster and create a seal with no air bubbles where moisture can get in. Fun following this adventure.

Nice job Terry! You have a great « compassion » for those windows. 😷👏
Well done lads and lass. I’m not surprised you’re getting quite the following. People like to see hard graft and buildings being restored or built. 👍🏻
