How many wallets do you need?
I owned the R, but i have some issue that card come out unintentionally. I wonder if you hold only the opposite side of the lever and shake it hard enough, is the cards still can be hold?

I purchased the Fantom X recently and I liked the smaller size. However, the key holder attachment was not working properly right out of the box and would be damaged easily when using the sliders to get a key. Since the key holder is the same black as the wallet, when using the slider, it would scratch the metal under it and reveal the silver glow which I did not like. I returned it for that reason and because tbh I loved my Fantom R and I just wanted a bigger size to fit more cards. I was able to get a new Fantom R 10 with leather this December 2022 by working with the warranty team as its discontinued in the store. That's another reason I returned the X, no leather options. I spoke with a representative and the reason is because leather was not a popular choice. That was a big let down and was hoping to see leather on the X at some point but it looks like its no popular enough to make it happen.
That's great that they helped you out with your Fantom R! I'm the same, I love the leather finish on mine. No leather = no buy.
yea i like the smaller size of this verson. I think it would be marginally better for back pocket carry. Unfortunately there's no way I'm paying that price for a wallet. $70 for the original was already crazy but this is next level...
I wish they would release a version with just the aluminum chassis. No inserts. Their metal finishing is really clean.
Either way, this new design is very clean. May have to get this to replace my XSTO wallet.
They make a magsafe wallet. Just an Insert
Looks neat and it's nice to have options, personally I use the decadent minimalist dm-1 wallet in titanium. Solid piece of metal, no hinges, switches, etc. Still maybe in the future if mine ever goes south I'll try something like this for awhike

Not sure if it’s a new pricing system or if they are on sale, but I just ordered the walnut slim for $119 with every single accessory for it as an add-on for free.
i hope they give us a similar style like the ember forge the ridge one has that finish with this style of wallet would look amazing

Dude, your voice reminds me of Mark Ruffalo. Haha. Great review for sure. I'm still debating between the X and the R because of the cash carrying issue. But the inner spring is a huge advance in keeping the cards secure, rattle-free, and tight. I do wish they made the X is more finishes though like the S and R.

Do you think this would be a good option as opposed to a ridge wallet? I stopped using the ridge wallets because after extend use I found the scratch the back of my card making them unusable and having to get replacements
Fantom wallets are much better at not scratching your cards vs a Ridge
Did they use the actual woods for the bamboo and walnut finish? I cant find any information about the actual material used for them.

Look into the decadent minimalist wallets, no moving parts, single solid piece of metal(aluminum or titanium) in 3 sizes(card capacity)
I did a review on those wallets a few years ago.

Way too bulky. Fantom wallet just seems as though its too big. IM not paying $160 or whatever it is they want for a wallet. No thanks. $40 maybe
