I build and sell gaming PCs and have done a decent number of builds in Montech cases, and they have definitely improved noticeably with each new case. I have been using a Lian Li O11 Air Mini in my personal rig for the past couple of years, and decided on a change. So I figured why not give the Sky Two a try. No, I don't consider it a downgrade. The quality of the Montech case is probably 90% of the Lian Li - it's that good. Not quite there, but close. The case looks fantastic and wasn't bad to work in. My only gripe is that the case fans are not available as stand-alone fans. I would love to buy some more of these, not just to get a second to mount on the basement.
I ordered this case the other day. I had been looking at so many cases and I was finding something wrong with just about every case I looked at and the ones they managed to get it right were very pricey. Then I looked at this case and I knew I had to have it. The case looked like it was engineered well and the price was right. I'm exicited to build in it. Nice job showcasing the case, I knew I had picked a winner and you just confirmed it
@@rh-0x04-n I actually never used a fan hub before, I've always plugged them straight to the motherboard and use splitters if need be. I use this extremely nice program called ARGUS monitor to managed the fan speeds and temps, even 3 pin fans
Thing is with no dust filter on the top is that when the computer is off dust will settle right into your case. There's oddly no dust filter either on the perforated sides, but there is one on the PSU. I guess if you don't care about dust this thing is great for showing off your components. I have a mini-iTX case with a closed top and dust filters on all intakes and it's a godsend for keeping dust out.
Don't know if this case is on the market yet (hard to find, at least in Sweden) but this will definitely be my new one. Thank you for a good and detailed review!
Please, please, *please,* Chris: when Montech's 'King' is available (I caught a glimpse of one in a recent Gamers Nexus news piece), ask them to let you review it! (And then get them to send *me* one! 😆😆😆) I think it's gonna be very popular! 👍
I got this case recently from my local microcenter - and while I like the looks/the accessibility I also have the issue with the fan hub and the fans running at max speed. Montech needs to fix this asap! There is a reddit post I found and they recently said they will fix it... but this should have been properly tested/fixed before it hit the shelves. Other youtube reviews also mention the issue

Will the Asus Thor 1000W psu lighting and wattage display be viewable with this case? Can't tell if the cut out for air flow in the psu shroud will allow that. Thank you! Great review 👏
the 3 fans that "seem" to enter (2 on the side and 1 below) have the frame outside so the air comes out instead of entering or am I wrong? since the rear fan has the frame outside so it blows out air
Reverse frame design fans for aesthetics obviously. The blades are reversed so that even though the frame is at the back, it will actually suck in air. Which for me is a great and thoughtful touch.
It's much bigger than a h510 Ellie tho as I own the flow version and it isn't as deep long or wide as the H510 can't fit 360mm at pretty sure cyber power are using this case looks familiar

Montech is getting a lot of things right, I'm just hoping for a dual chamber design to compete with O11 and GT 502
Check the king 95!
Have to say your review as solidified my decision to buy this case. Everything about it seems fantastic!
Nice to have some options. When pretty much all manufacturers keep only tweaking the same case over and over again, that’s promising

Did you have issues with the fan hub? Like fans always maxed out. Setting it through the BIOS does nothing?

I like your video, well edited, easy to understand information. Pleasant voice.
this case is 🔥🔥🔥🔥just ordered one!
Great vid, well worth a watch, considering one of these for my build
More expensive than the lianli lancool 216 and that case is probably one of the best of 2022 if not the best in it's price region
Probably the best budget case on the marker right now ...

Thank you for an informative review. Would adding a second fan beneath the GPU help temperatures at all?
Thank you, Chris! 👍
Best explanation ever. Thanks
looks like great value
Are these fans sold separately? They look very nice
would you recommend this over the Lian Li 216?
Wow so beautiful ! Definitely a buy
Hello
Can the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 fit on top? It's not 27mm but 37mm thick, plus the fans.

When is this going to be available in the UK? Its on amazon for £220 but no where else?
You are the best!!! 👍👍
How i can sync all 4 fans and leds of Air Cooler AK400 Deep Cool?
How do I install the bottom psu fan? I’m new to PC
hey man good day i wanted to know are the legs on this removable?
how to control the rgb fans on the case? is there any software to do it?
i know there's a button but the modes are very limited
its possible to use water cooler 240mm in top?
0:44 what is the Dimensions? on desk?
I don't understand how fans mounted on the side instead of the front helps with airflow. Wouldn't the air just blow against the other side panel?
Closed environment so the air will enter case and then be pulled to the rear by the exhaust fans
@@pepp77 Except it's not really a closed environment. There are all kinds of holes and cracks and crevices.
What is CPU cooler here?
Lian li 216 or this ?
Any significance to the white header on the fan hub?
It’s the one that determines speed for all fans so I’d assume if not connected PWM won’t work and fans will run at full speed.
Montech or liancool 216?
that CPU cooler is beefy!

@@ItsakMatthew As for aesthetics, I agree. But if you want to have a better airflow those two fans have to put air inside
They do, they are reverse flow fans
