Oh man, I can so relate! I had a YT channel years ago when we first started homeschooling, and I deleted it after many years bc I couldn't do it all perfectly - GAH! After many years, I was searching for homeschooling high school YT channels, and there was such little dialogue with that stage of homeschooling. So, here I go again... but I struggle with the "all or nothing" syndrome. I've been working on it for several years now, and I'm getting better, but man! It's hard to rewire that way of thinking! Welcome back :)
I’m so glad you’re back !!! you are such an encouragement and a blessing 😊💕!! Yet I completely understand needing to prioritize and putting your family first that is what you should do, many blessings to you 💕😊
Always happy to see your videos! We are in our 8th year of AO, teen years 😅 with all the extracurricular activities and adding a first grader next year. My chronic fatigue has improved greatly and also dropped some things that weren’t serving us. I’m feeling the itch to add/enhance something but not sure what…
Oh Jess, I can so relate to this! I just came back a month or so ago from a multi-month break here too. Plus, I can totally relate to the chronic illness side and just this last week I've been realizing how much more energy we have right now in this season. I can't wait to hear more about your plans and changes!
I am glad you're back. Your videos were very inspirational in the decision for me to pull my child out of public school at the beginning of the year. We have loved homeschooling so thank you.
I just came to your channel to check for new videos over the weekend! Always valued your content (from way back when too!) so I am happy to see you back in this space
Thank you! I've been so encouraged by the response to this video. And I'm glad the chair story is relatable! I should have shared what it looks like, haha!
Hello! New subscriber here! I can relate to so much, maybe even everything, that you said. I just came across your channel and I really like you already! I myself have started a homeschool channel recently, and as much as I love it, I can definitely see how the pressure to put out content can be a real thing. Like you, my top priority is my family and our homeschool. Everything else, especially social media, has to come second. If we allow that balance to flip, it would be detrimental to our homeschool culture. Thank you for making this video and being so transparent! Can't wait to see more! 😊
I appreciated everything you had to say and can I just add that I am here whether you post a video a week, or a year, because you are one of my favorite creators to watch on the topic of homeschool!
I agree with you - we had a big health crisis with one of our kids this year, and so we had to take a much more relaxed approach to school. However, next year, I really want them both to be more challenged and stretched, especially with my youngest just entering the high school years. We are over the health crisis and into managing that better, so I let my curriculum choices reflect that challenge next year. I guess I'm forcing myself to step up our standards for next year - LOL. I am excited about it though!
Priorities are so hard and I've been learning about my CPTSD this year and that can cause me to have very black and white thinking; I love what you said about putting something down and picking it back up again and modeling that to your kids. I also love what you said about using the seasons of lots of energy and health. I can totally relate to your chair story. I didn't buy anything. I just switched the location of a bookshelf, and I feel like it opened up so much opportunity to do different things in a space I hadn't liked much before. Also I'm glad you're back, youtube algorithm doesn't account for liking someone regardless of how many videos they put out 😊
So excited to see you back! LOVE LOVE LOVE your content and the community that you have created. ❤
Thank you so much!! 🫶🏻

We'll be making some additions next year that I'm hopeful will serve our family well! I've definitely felt the "itch," as well.
