L9ved the combination with Notoria and Goetia. When you pulled all three together it was a wowser for me. It's almost like the Citadel works like a bridge between the two. Picking up the black from one deck and leading it into the reds and lighter colors from the other and therefore creating that melt/bigger complete picture. So gorgeous. Almost feel like you could approach it like looking at what's black on the card and connect that symbol to the black Tarot (always forget which one is which) and then connect the red symbol or what's left white to the lighter Tarot.
Oh this is one of my favorite decks! I just got so excited I had to comment before focusing on the video, looking forward to how you work with it! The Deck of Emblems is also really cool, although I haven't used it much with anything other than the Citadel Deck. Cheers from another ttrpg fan!
I find Citadel to be interesting alongside Gateway of Light Activation. They don't match esthetically at all, but I like the sense of place combined with the character Archetypes. Any deck that can give you a sense of location could be helpful with these decks.
I love pairing the citadel with my horror tarot, it also works pretty well with the DC Tarot and I think its because it can pull from the storytelling aspects. Like I've tried pairing with other tarots I own but it just keeps missing the mark unless its one of the two I mentioned above. I see it as a very picky oracle deck but when she does work, she works beautifully.

SHOOOOOOOOOOT 😍OMG you HAVE to really take a close look at the Emblems guidebook - it has mechanics - like the way it interacts with the cards around it - such as what it means for the card after it, or beneath it etc - it's one of my favorite things about it - no other deck has really done that (that I'm aware of)
