For me personally? I'm going with Awakening right now because I feel I lack the DP for Succession. I think I will switch to Succession eventually once I reach end game gear though.

When I'm idle in Battle arena I get 200 FPS. In combat can vary between 120 fps in poorly optimized areas to 180 fps in battle arena with a single other person.

Glad you liked the video! From an open world RPK perspective, I think succession and awakening both have pros and cons in different scenarios. If you have high AP but low DP relative to your opponents, then I feel awakening is better because you have less FG or s in succession. If you don't have the DP to back it up, you often just die by your opponents SA trading you, whereas Awakening can mitigate a lot of damage with its FG on demand, extra , and more sustainable mobility. On the other hand, if you have high DP but low AP relative to your opponents, then I feel succession is better because you can sustain DPS with it. Awakening kind of rely on you doing the majority of your damage with serpent ascension or shadow stomp. If it doesn't kill or almost kill by itself, then it's very hard to follow up with more damage, whereas succession allows you to safely throw out a lot of damage while protected by SA.
I hope you continue to make videos. These are consistently the most entertaining BDO Ninja videos (and some of the best pvp videos in general) being made. Super sad that you put them out so rarely. Putting Remastered/high graphics on in this game is so rare for PvP videos and makes them so much prettier. MAKE MORE edit: Every time I go back and watch your videos I end up swapping to awakening ninja for a few days and then realize I'm garbage at awakening and swap back to succession. But damnit I'll eventually get the muscle memory down.
Wish I could! But unfortunately, it takes a long time for me to make a video. Usually, I want to collect anywhere between 24-48 hours of PvP footage per video so I can get a good variety of scenes. Then it takes me around 2-3 weeks to review the footage and find the highlights that I want for the final video. After that it's another 2-3 weeks to edit and polish it into something I'd be happy about publishing. I am trying out different ways to streamline my workflow and reduce the time it takes for me to review and edit. But ultimately, I am aiming for quality over quantity when it comes to my videos, so there is a limit for how fast I can release them. Sorry!
I feel that in Awakening I have more control over my survivability. Since Succession is mostly SA, I was having trouble when people with higher gear than me just go for SA trades, as they would often just kill me mid skill animation. With Awakening, I have more consistent mobility, FG on demand, and an extra . All of this helps me with damage mitigation, so I at least have the potential to outplay someone even if they're more geared than me.
I definitely heard of yelo. From what I've seen he's in Battle Arena pretty much everyday while I only ever go there to duel a friend, so I have yet to actually meet him xD I'm happy to fight him if we meet someday, but honestly, I'm just having way more fun in Open World PvP than I am in duels these days!

Since Succession is mostly SA, the people I fought would just go for SA trades and kill me during my animations. Whereas with the FGs and extra that Awakening gives, I could mitigate a lot of the SA damage and had the potential to outplay my opponent even if they outgeared me. So imo, I don't think succession would work for me unless I had much better gear than I have now.
As far as RNG goes, the Central Market has made it very possible to progress solely through buying your gear. You can get PEN without ever needing to touch the enhance button. But p2w is most likely here to stay.

I think if your DP is low then awakening is better, but once you get a decent amount of DP then succession is better.
