At least 20 years ago I found a beautiful suitcase . Opened it and there was a mechanical fake arm in it . Batteries too . It worked . I knew it cost thousands to build this . I did the right thing and donated it to Disabled Veterans . And yes , it made me feel good . You see , I'm a veteran also .

I just started doing this two days ago and made $250 dollars in my garage sale with items I found in two days and prolly only 45 minutes of looking, I found a basically brand new microwave that works, a vacuum, three really nice outdoor tables, bar stools, brand new soccer ball, two like new bikes, step stool, a wine rack that fits 216 bottles, and some other stuff too

The English riding saddle is worth $50 as is. If you were to clean and condition it with saddle soap or leather cleaner you could double your money.
That saddle we would bin (sell horse tack). Too much work for a tiny amount. Unless there is a makers mark then I wouldn't bother.
Taco if you read this grab the saddle hold the back into your stomach and pull on the front, if it moves/bends the tree is broken and will need binning.

I agree with you. I spent large part of my life around horses and tack cleaned it up worth over 125.00. Decorators would spend half that just for decor. I wonder where it wound up.

There are re-webbing kits for your vintage lawn chairs,, I used to re-web my lawn chairs, because it was a lot cheaper than buying a new chair,, :-)

The keyboard is worth around $450.
I just sold the very same one for $400 without a case & upgraded.
When I rearranged my basement art area, my dog ran around, sitting on her hind legs, surveying the room. So smart, our dogs.
On Scrap & Pallet Man's Channel the garbage men put tags like that on metal for him so that he van pick it up. They put a tag on it stating why they are leaving it. They have worked it out with him so he can come back and get the mowers and grills etc. Keep up the good work, love your videos.
I hope you keep or sell that little white table, too!! People are always looking for small ones like that, and it is in GREAT shape!
It may not be worth it to you, but it is legal for you to drain the gas from a lawnmower and then burn it in your engine. If it has a beneficial use, like powering your vehicle, then it is considered to be a product, not a waste. (I used to work for a state waste management agency.)
Can’t you take the keyboard to a music store or somewhere like that for some sort of evaluation? I’d give the little table to PAPER and MOOSE. I bet she would LOVE it. Thanks for sharing Taco and hello to SALSA!!!!

I'm thinking all the guys are bored out of their minds being quarantined and have all decided it's a good time to replace their grills, whether they need it or not.
Agree also mostly eating/cooking at home.
I pick up all the plastic chair webbing I can find. Then I rehab the old lawn chairs. My kids (adults), never seem to have enough chairs. So we take our own. We leave a couple in the truck for when we go fishing. Have a good day.

That keyboard is worth a hundred bucks untested. Seems like you could save up those stainless grills and assemble you one from 3 or 4 donors. It would almost be worth it to disassemble those into various parts. The gas valves are brass. You can get 5 bucks for a regulator. Same the stainless till you have a 55 gallon barrel full to sell. You're smart. You'll figure it out👍
Maybe Salsa doesn't trust your deck-building skills? I am not sure what you are checking for when you open the grill covers, but I know someone that opened their grill to use it in the spring after storing it for the winter and there was a snake living inside it. I hope you never have to deal with that! Thanks for another fun video!

At times I had items that I thought were worthless and sold cheap at garage sales! To find out later that they were worth so much, I couldn’t believe it! Nowadays we can look them up but back in the day, you just needed to know your stuff! Looked like a good haul! Blessed and safe days!

In our town if you set something next to the can they won't pick it up. Once a year you can drop it off at the City yard, or if you aren't able to drop it off they will come and pick it up by appointment. I'm fascinated by the houses right next to the sidewalk. I've just never seen that where I live.
I think a lot of people bought a new grill with some of their stimulus money! Just a thought! Great video!

Taco, A lot of people just buy new in stead of fixing the old BBQ. You can order replacement parts on line, for a lot less then a new grill. I've fixed mine several time. If you find a real nice one. Look for the serial number on it. Or just research the brand on line for replacement parts. I've even bought some from ebay.
Hi there 👋👋👋 just a thought, could you get a ramp built in under your steps on the side or back door of your van so you could slide them out and roll up the grills or fridges ect then slide them back underneath out of the way. There's a funny documentary on amazon prime called Finders Keepers, it's about a guy who finds a mummified foot in a grill in a storage locker that he won. I always think of that whenever you check in grills now haha.

You should build a planter in that empty area next to the steps on your deck. You could plant some nice smelling flowers or herbs to use when you grill.
Oh and that saddle is pretty shot. If you put it on a saw horse, saddle soap it really well and then oil it good it might make an ok display piece if you can bend it back into the right shape. Or you could chuck it and keep the stirrups to sell. They are worth a couple of bucks.

About the vintage chairs: look at it this way, how many people still out there from 50's, 60's, even 70's? There is potential for a lot of chairs, especially if they took good care of them.😊
With all those big grills in the trash...I am happy with my charcoal Weber..They last for years if you take care of them.

Because of the Poly-Key pressure and keybed design (which was in three pieces), it was prone to bending and breaking at the solder points, causing the keyboard not to calibrate when turned on."
eBay prices all over the map. Apparently still desirable and maintainable as LSI chips for it are listed in eBay as well.
Looks like it can be tested just by plugging headphones into its back 1/4" jack. Power 120V from standard pc-style line cord.

freon is a gas...its only a liquid under pressure...that is oil that come out of that tube ...air conditioner compressors are just pumps and needs oil in that pump.... so that is only oil.... most use a type of linseed oil .... and FYI ...freon chemical name is the longest word used in the vehicle part dictionary .... Dichlorodifluoromethane

Taco, that was the best van loading trash day video you have EVER posted!! You put things straight, more to the sides, and pushed things away from the doors right when you put them in!! Thus, you saved a good chunk of time trying to shuffle and move things around as you put in more treasures. Plus you had more space for even more treasures. I also bet it will be a lot easier to unload it all because you won’t be having to try untangle it all (maybe a couple of things will be tangled but not nearly as much as usual). If you go back and look at this video a couple times then look at former videos I can guarantee you will see what I am talking about. One last thing, that maybe isn’t important to others who watch your videos, for me it was a lot less frustrating to watch. Just wanted to share how I saw things. Take care. And as they’d say back in the day - keep on keeping on my man
Maybe if you threw a cheap dog bed with some squeaky toys out on the deck, Salsa would be more interested in going out on it. With warmer weather here, I’m sure she would love to sit outside in a comfy bed and catch some rays. Make sure you also put out a bowl of water to help keep her cool and hydrated in the hot sun.

Looks are deceiving. Neighbor moved and left grill, a Weber, looked good from 20 feet, up close it was completely rusted out. These things are build cheap and don't last. Buy a new one every 3 years.

When they get dirty some people just prefer to replace them. I think they know someone will take them for scrap so they don't feel too guilty.

The main reason I am commenting is because of Salsa. On your videos u showed feeding Salsa in this odd feeding dish with grooves in it like a mouse maze. I just found a similar dish for my pup yesterday & it explained its purpose of slower eating to prevent bloating etc. So I bought it for my 4 mo old pup! Her name is Birdie (1/2 border collie & 1/2 lab). Sh's a good dog but still in the training phase. Thanks for sharing things u do with Salsa! Have a great wkend!
