A whole semester passed by as the 'experienced' professors of an 'Institute of National Importance' couldn't clear out these concepts and you made it crystal clear in less thsn 30 minutes. I'm grateful to you Sir.
Thank you Arijit. Share it with your classmates so that they can also learn from these videos. You can practice what you have learned in these videos here: www.studytonight.com/code/playground/sql/
For a table to be in the Second Normal form, it should be in the First Normal form and it should not have Partial Dependency. Partial Dependency exists, when for a composite primary key, any attribute in the table depends only on a part of the primary key and not on the complete primary key. To remove Partial dependency, we can divide the table, remove the attribute which is causing partial dependency, and move it to some other table where it fits in well.
I know you get this a lot but I have to say it too: Your explanations are much better than my professor's, I should be paying you instead of him. We need more people like you in college, the skills of making things simple, creating good videos, and being a good speaker are desperately lacking in college. I have a professor who literally tells us to study from youtube videos and doesn't teach anything himself LOL. Thank you for your service to students, I appreciate immensely.
I studied about the normalization on many websites but couldn't understand. Your videos are very clear to make me understand the concept. Thanks a lot.
6:36 thank you for not ruining the tutorial by explaining one sentence in English and then doing it in another language- all throughout the video. I hate when people do this. They are just lazy and unprofessional. Thanks again. Your videos are high quality :)
I am watching it after 2 years but the video is amazing. The best part is how you explained the relevant topics also like what is partial dependency , primary key and many more so that students can understand the basics completly. Kudos to you!
First time I came to your channel, What are the things I like about your video: 1) Clear visual presentation 2) Not repeating same sentences multiple times to increase the video length 3) Explained all dependent concepts.
This Is helping me a lot to understand the normalization of database creation. Being in a position to practically use this makes the whole priority of concern more viable.
thanku so much sir for your explanation in brief, after 4 years from study , today i learnt normalization in brief and very clear concept, your voice is very clear. Thanks alot god fulfill your all wishes. jai hind

I have a question, why is student_id and subject_id a more meaningful primary key? If you just used score_id as the primary key, wouldn't the problem of partial dependency no longer exist? Because you couldn't have partial dependency when it's just one attribute for the primary key?
you deserve my teachers salary!
