- Oldenburg is a town in northwest Germany. The old center of Oldenburg has many restaurants and cafes on pedestrian streets that we will visit on this walk.
We start our tour at the Oldenburg train station and first get to the Hafenpromenade along the harbor of Oldenburg east of the city center. From there we visit the inner city, see the Rathausmarkt with the St. Lamberti Church of Oldenburg.
Our tour also passes the Oldenburger Schloss before we return to the Hafenpromenade again. There we end our tour.

Thanks Daniel. Another rare German city that was not flattened in World War Two, so the older buildings are mostly restored rather than rebuilt. It's really nice to see such a quiet, bicycle friendly central city. Good job Oldenburg!
it was flattened later in 1970s during the construction of the pederstrian area!
I live here in Oldenburg and i am really missing some nice places like the botanic garden or the castle garden or or or. But i really enjoyed watching the video.

Oldenburg ist schon ganz lange nicht mehr "wunderschön"! Das ist vorbei!
@@tommytk72 Ach naja, er läuft vom Bahnhof los. Der Süden des Bahnhofs ist jetzt nicht die schönste Ecke. Die Kaiserstraße hat sich aber z.B. total gemacht in den letzten 5 Jahren. Er läuft in der Innenstadt nicht durch die Bergstraße, obwohl das vielleicht das schönste kleine Sträßchen ist.
Meine persönlichen Lieblingsecken sind sogar allesamt gar nicht dabei.

gibt doch in jeder stadt so orte wie kreyenbrück, das bleibt nicht aus😂

I loved the video. My grandmother was born and raised in Oldenburg. My grandfather was from Veckta. I never got to go to Oldenburg, but I did go in 2000 with my mom to Germany. We went to Hamburg where she is from and traveled over 2 weeks to different towns all the way to Munich. It was the greatest trip I ever had. I want to go back to Germany again.
