❤❤ amazing episode I catching up on marathon . Subscribed n cheers from Northern Vancouver Island, Canada I doin a circumnavigation of Vancouver Island on my 37 foot catamaran
Excelente video. Un poco más largo que de costumbre. Me encantan sus videos y pudiera estar viendo por horas. El viaje hasta Christmas Island fue muy amable. Gracias chicos. A esperar por el próximo. Buena mar.
Another great video you guys. Your productions are really nice. Love the way your team handles GC, very smooth working the sails. catching the drone looks challenging I can understand gloves and jacket. Keep the story going, safe travels, Portland Dan.
Beautifull. I specially appreciate that you show us the wavepatterns and motions of your boat on the Indian ocean. I heard do much about it from yachts arriving in Richardsbay SouthAfrica but now I see what they were trying to tell me.
End of August, the schedule for the GLYWO was made by Jimmy Cornell so he might get have based it on his ideas of the best times of the year per crossing. We haven’t got enough experience to advise on other alternatives. So far the only time we had the feeling we were on the edge of the right timing was to NZ and back up to New Cal
Christmas Island looks very nice which isn't the part we tend to hear about on the 'mainland' sadly. Love your inclusion of music from Oka - such a great band!! RIP DidgeriSTU
of course there was the even darker side to Xmas Island - the detention centre, which in Aus we heard a LOT about over the past 10+ years@@CatGreatcircle
Love your boat, but a couple of things worry me with the Outremer, is that they provide no shade from the sun at the helm. Major concerns are constant exposure to the sun, long-term possibilities of skin cancer, and also what happens in extreme weather?
And if you want to be at the wheel and in the shade (or out of the rain for that matter) you just turn the wheel inside as the view is even better there
You didn’t actually think Santa still lives on the North Pole 🤣? Most of the times just because of the day a European captain passed there centuries ago. We’ve seen other original names like Thursday Island, Two Islands and of course Three Islands
I don't kno if it will post but the REPLY will include the LINK to the TRACKER for the glyworldrally ...... :) delete if not allowed ;) HAVE A GREAT DAY !!! AND AN EVEN AWESOMEER TOMORROW!!
It seems that your racing around the world. For me, I'd take more time and hit up as many different islands as possible and stay at least two weeks in every location to enjoy myself and get to know the culture a bit.
We really like to be in a rally and this one is already twice as long as the other world rallies. For us this pace is exactly right and there’s plenty of time to do decent cherry picking. Different islands can also be quite the same …
@@CatGreatcircle I'd actually like to do a rally as well. When I finish building my Mumby Cyber 48, would there be a rally for me as well? It would probably be an open class rally since there are not that many Mumby's around.
@@CatGreatcircle Arlington, WA, USA. Half way between the Canadian border and Seattle, WA. I'll probably be building the boat in the Philippians but might build it in Australia and sail it to the Philippians for fit out.
Another great episode guys
Fantastic drone shots.

Excellent video guys, really enjoyed it, looking forward to the next one. Thank you👍😊👏❤️
The Indian Ocean is a big sucker, and I wish you well on your voyage :)
And still the best video and still photographer ever
I'd consider a face shield when catching that drone. That seems sketchy at best.
Great cruise.
What month did you start from Indonesia? And what's the best time of the year to do this ?

Yes it’s really nice but it does have two sides. Just ignore the phosphate side…

@martinbeaumont1135 almost empty now or?
Yes I believe this in the process of being shutdown, however there are sadly still people being detained there :(@@CatGreatcircle

Major concerns are constant exposure to the sun, long-term possibilities of skin cancer, and also what happens in extreme weather?
In long range cruising the time behind the wheel is very limited, we stay out of the sun 99% of the time and do wear a hat especially down under
And if you want to be at the wheel and in the shade (or out of the rain for that matter) you just turn the wheel inside as the view is even better there
GC"s helms can be swung inboard they are versa-helms.
Good day Everyone!
Why is it called Christmas Island? Christmas everyday? Great video, by the way
