Summer Wars was by the same Director of Digimon Our War Game so its less a ripoff more like Mamoru Hosoda fleshing out the idea more as Digimon Our War Game was a 30 Minute OVA and Summer Wars a nearly 2 Hour Movie. Hosoda also Directed The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Mirai, Wolf Children, Belle and The Boy And The Beast all great Movies.
Finally, someone who doesn't hate tlj. Casino scene was bit dull but it wasn't bad movie, and in my option the best of the Disney's skywalker saga movies
