This ended up being my exact strat for Slash. He kicked my butt all the time until I realized I could catch him whenever he was landing. I was even able to get him right before he landed a couple of times too. That shoulder bash was my friend against Metalhead, the first Shredder fight, and Leatherhead as well.
the only time i play and beat this game was in tmnt3 mutant nightmare game on ps2 cuz u have unlimited lifes but that was arcade version of this game lol :D
I should probably mention that the special move uses up some health, hence why it drops a bit each time it's used, so no, he's not getting hit or cheating.
I hardly ever used the special attack for that reason. Only time I'd actually use it was on Neon Night Riders when the electrified Mousers were coming at you. I always used Leo's spin to keep my safe.
The first shredder fight was a bit tricky on hard, but wasn't too hard. Slash I hate because he can defend himself. Bebop and Rocksteady are also hard because they have long ranged weapons and they gang up on me. But UFO Krang, OH MY GOD, This takes forever.
gotta love the desperation attack, the move where he bounces off his staff, I didn't know it was powerful enough to mess up boss patterns, good to know for the future.
Oh i completely agree. Rat King was extremely easy to beat lol. The ONLY tough boss to me was Slash. & fighting Kraang the 2nd time was just annoying cause it took a long time to whittle his life down.
I remember when I was a kid, like 5 or 6, I would play this game with my mom all the time. Mainly because it was my favorite XD but Slash, the boss at the end of that level was always the hardest. That and when I was a kid, when fighting shredder when hes infront of the screen, we never knew how to throw the ninjas at the screen, so it was a button mashing survival test until we got enough lucky throws to kill him XD
Amen, dude. Amen. The days when you could watch your favroite TV show, then stick the game in your console and have the same amount of fun OVER AND OVER AND OVER....
the snes version slightly differs from arcade. There's no wax creature as boss in prehistoric turtlesauras, and bebop and rocksteady replaced tokka and rahzar as bosses in skull and bones. As far as i remember, there's no first technodorme level in the arcade at all. instead, shred says "my patience is wearing thin" in the end of sewer surfin'
I liked how the Rat King boss had a Foot Ski. (To quote Freakazoid, "How toy-etic can ya get?") Considering his character isn't affiliated with the Shredder, he must've stolen it from one of Shredder's minions. Also, I get kinda tired of people always hating-on the arcade version. The music, and animations were a li'l better in the arcade version, (in my opinion) and it also had 4-player. Still, would've been nice if the remake had all the best features from both the arcade and SNES versions.
Ah, Donatello and Raphael, the best team ever. Raph murders foot soldiers with his intense speed and grabbing, while Donnie umrders the bosses with his OP range and special attack.
in the 90's i was a Megadrive/Genesis player. Now i see this same sort of version of the MD/Genesis one. I never knew before. This one has some great things !! Like Shredders Robot end boss, BBop en Rocksteady as pirates :P hahaha !
I remember being so pumped for my buddy's birthday and there was 4 of us for the arcade mode. Then the machine was broken and the controls were messed up. Good times on SNES tho.
u run in to them(charge) and then u press "hit" right after, or just hit them very close, after uve hit them once b4. Ive played this game so much XD as a kid and still to this day
The SNES version is different from the arcade version, namely w/ the bosses. BUT, I think that the SNES version did a good job with the bosses. Like adding The Rat King, Bebop & Rocksteady in pirate garb, The Shredder fight where you have to toss the foot-soldiers at the screen, and especially Slash! I prefer the arcade version overall ( namely the music & the extra frames of animation ), but Cement Man is such a pushover lol.
hit footsoldiers two or three times, then walk up to them and push the attack button. you have to stand close to them and keep the button pressed towards their direction to throw them. If you stand too far away and try this you grab them and slam them on the ground.
Hmm, every time I see Shredder descending in that beam of light, all I can think of is how his hand are in some weird Naruto-style hand sign. I keep expecting him to say "Fire Ball Jutsu" or something like that.
@lolz649 The same could be said about Back to the Future, right? We're coming up onto the year where we're supposed to have self-lacing sneakers and hover boards. That movie was from 1985. This game is from 1991 or 1992. Not too far of a stretch, I suppose for the time. I was about 9 or 10 at the time this game came out, and in school I even recall their going on about how we'd have flying cars by the year 2000. lol
Dude, I was watching your life count and point tally the entire time, and if that really was you, dude, I hope you don't mind cursing, because you're a god-damned BEAST!
I remember playing this game... 1st time i played it i was so bad a game... couldn't finish it... I plug it in yesterday.. just to remember that time .. it was so easy to finish it XD.
Ma boy! this was def a good video. the tatics you developed to beat those guys are unbelieveably impressive. unlike some gamers who post videos of things like this and have no idea what they're doing and lose so many lives. Great video dawg.
Wow I remember this. Me and cousin were never able to beat this. We fought our asses off and got to the first shredder but we didnt know how to throw the guys at him. I remember we beat him once and went crazy when we saw him explode, only to run out of lives early in the next level. You make it seem so easy
Whoa, Bebop and Rocksteady kinda freaked out and kicked each other's asses! As someone who spent way too many wasted hours of childhood on that bastard Slash, I get sweet enjoyment out of watching a pro dismantle him like a bitch.
This is the best Version of this game. The SNES one. The addition of the extra level and bosses made it better then then original Arcade. Has anyone played the Reshelled version of this game on Xbox 360 yet? Come Check out our channel for a full out review and level by level comparison between the new one and the original arcade!!
@@FinalWarsGodjira you can't say that if the shredder battle has the foot soldiers that can block... You sound like you added some hating seasoning to that comment
@@ericfisher9513 No I was stating a fact. Easy mode does not mean the foot soldiers wont block. You can tell the difficulty by the number of starting lives....
the worst boss on hard is the one where you throw foot soldiers at shredder. it's annoying as hell because they block every attack so it's almost impossible to throw them.
Tengo recuerdos de todos los jefes aunque nunca me lo llegue a acabar porque era muy morro para aprender bien, del unico que no me acordaba era del ultimo, se ve muy OP el cabron
Slash was tough because he blocks all your attacks when standing... This seems to me as pretty good tactics - to kick him while he's sommersaulting and thus prevent him from hitting you with those katanas
And so the villains were defeated because, despite their planning and training, they neglected to have any techniques that can hit people at point-blank range.
One does not simply avoid damage from Slash.

Star base krang it's so difficult I win until there
Krang wasn’t that hard for me but man this guy might as well be a legend
Once you figure him out he not bad but yes Slash is the toughest boss in the game.
oh my god.. those boss soundtracks are badass
I also love the sound effects when the bosses take damage. It's so satisfying to kick their asses.
I always hear it like "choog-ohh! Choog-ohh!"
Haha! I hear it like a distorted bouncing ball. That's the best way I can describe it.
The Fiddler jjjjojjjj
Hell yea still to this day one of the best boss themes ever
2020's nearly over and I haven't seen Krang once this year :(
I’m also still watching this in 2019 lol, this is how you make a beat em up video game
2021, bitch! Shit...As a child I figured that we'd have advanced space shuttles with interstellar-travel capabilities, by now!
This is HARD mode for the bosses. This Donatello is wicked!
hugo182 the hardest thing about hard mode is throwing hard mode foot soldiers at shredders mech. Other than that I thought it wasn’t too bad
I just LOVE how every single boss EXPLODES. xD
Man does this video bring back memories. I love playing that game when I was a kid. I'll admit, those bosses were much harder back then.
the only time i play and beat this game was in tmnt3 mutant nightmare game on ps2 cuz u have unlimited lifes but that was arcade version of this game lol :D

Slash was a bastard only attack from behind bebop and rocksteady weren't too bad but indeed 2100 krang...2020 krang though piece of piss.
Slash The Most Hardest Boss In The Game
This is what TMNT III's movie SHOULD'VE been like. Time travel done right with Shredder!
Next year we're gonna be "Neon night-riders" #memories
gotta love the desperation attack, the move where he bounces off his staff, I didn't know it was powerful enough to mess up boss patterns, good to know for the future.
Not sure why, but the fact you got an extra life on Super Shredder gave me a chuckle.
SirMexicanYCP For every 200 points, you get an extra life

I don't know what country you live in, but in mine, everything is exactly like in that level...
MAN THAT SHEDDER BOARD WHERE YOU HAD THE THROW THE FOOT SOLDIERS WAS MY FAVORITE BOSS BATTLE EVER.
You have to do it 9 times though (3 times per bar). The first Shredder boss was meant to be easy to proceed quickly with the story.
Just 1 more year till we'll be able to hover across highways on high-tech surfboards in a city ruled by an evil alien brain inside a robotic body.
I loved playing this game back in the day, it was so much fun.
The first game i ever got for SNES, lol good times.

I loved this game and beating it when I was a kid and I still play it
Don. The BEST Turtle. Nice job

this is way better then the new game
I never got past the train when i was little... i think i made it to the future w/ my cousin once... this game is sooo fun! can't wait for the remake!
Every boss: sopa do tortuginha uma delicia
Slash is by far the most powerful boss in this game......and well done on shredder final boss, super fast kill
And that's why you never piss Donatello off.
Donatello was just NOT having it that day!
I alway loved when shredder transformed into the Super Shredder!!!
