Hondas manufacturing of this era was so amazing my mom bought a 2005 Honda accord EXL V6 back in 2014 with only 47k miles from dealer now almost 223k miles drives amazing and I only have to replace both upstream o2 sensors really reliable cars and quick if you got then Honda V6 of that year 👌
@@JSeriesDame You said it! They really don’t make them the same. So reliable. And with the V6? Fun too. Glad you treated that Honda well. 47k for 9 years old is a great buy
Yeah Honda's in Acura from the 80s and 90s and 2000s up to even 2008 was on the increase and looking better and better and reliability was getting better and then somewhere around 2010 they just kind of went sideways and couldn't figure out what to do with the next model of Acura. Do they want to make it big do they want to make it small do they want to cancel the thing do they want to mix it with a tsx and make a tlx... they just couldn't figure out what they wanted to do so they decided to make a 6 cylinder turbo like bmw and now they've got a recall some of them. And presently the TLX typeS Does look good but it's a little bit of an oddball and none of them are selling as fast as what the third Gen TL sold beginning with 2004. It's really expensive too. In fact it's like two times as much as what they were in 2004-2008 Which I think was about $35,000. New cars are too high. And used cars are too high also. I mean it's hard to find a car that is decent that has less than 80,000 miles for under $10,000 that's just crazy I mean who wants to buy another piece of junk with 80,000+ miles for $8000+ You might as well keep the car that you have. I have a 2005 black Acura TL with the navigation and I've done a lot of type S mods on it and it doesn't have any bumper damage and it has 135,000 miles on it and I know everything that's been done to it and it's a reliable car even now. If you look at the 3rd gen tl online like on Craigslist you'll find some that had been hit and they're in salvage and if you look at the miles many of them have over 200,000 miles and some are over 300,000 and it's been smashed on the side. So it would have likely kept going. But you know most people they don't keep a car very long so they say they want it real reliable but you know what they do? they don't keep it that long. Kind of makes you wonder just exactly how reliable you really need a car to be if you're going to sell it in 3 1/2 years. The ignition system on this Acura has got to be the best on the market for the past 20 years at least. I've only replaced one fuel injector since 2007.
I own an 06 TL myself.I got it for free from my Uncle who took very good care of it.The car has 258,00 0 miles on it and it drives like brand new.Although the keyless entry on mine doesn’t work because there is a kill switch so the car only has power once the key is turned on.The car started killing batteries and no one could figure out what it was.It was not the hand free link.
@@darklord2184 Dang! That car has been around! That sucks the battery keeps dying though. I thought for sure the hands free module would be the culprit. Keep that car alive! 300k here we come!
Also the bluetook module that under the front interior light kills your battery because even when the car is off its scanning and trying to connect so u have to unplug it its simple fix
@@RAW-With-JESUS yea. I pulled it out but it was a recall. They weren’t supposed to kill your battery when the car was off. Kind of a bummer pulling apart the ceiling everytime im in the car haha
