Where have you been, Gen? I missed you 😊 I am a stats guy (ask the guys I play with). I keep fairways, greens and putts for my entire foursome, and have for years. It’s fun to see year-over-year stats. I also now have ARCCOS. But, my stats rarely change. I work hard at my game, and on the weak parts of my game, but my data rarely changes. My goal has been “to be a single digit handicap” JUST ONCE in my life. I’m currently playing to a 13 (closest I ever got was an 11). I had a good year. I had several rounds under 40 in my 9-hole league (my low round, a 37), and broke 80 a couple times for 18; but my handicap doesn’t reflect it. We play tough (narrow) courses, so that may be part of it. So, I have to continue to watch “Golf with Gen” as I watch the snow fall north of Chicago. ❄️ Merry Christmas, Gen 🎄 Have a Happy Holiday 🎉
It's great to see you back on Matt's channel, though I'm a subscriber to yours, too. I use the Arccos app and sensors; I got the sensors to learn my distances and estimate my handicap, and I have used the strokes gained statistics to look at where my game needs improvement. Watching your video long ago on course management, I learned to not always use the statistics directly, for example, seeing the total number of putts does tell me something about my putting, but also about my short game and how far I'm hitting to the hole. Knowing I don't hit driver well is clearly shown in how long second shots are, etc. Sadly, I don't have a TON of time to practice to work on things, but knowing where I need work does help me organize what little practice time I have.
Great video Gen, but one slight issue. At the end of the video I could not see all your stats as the suggested/related videos blocked me being able to see your stats.
A beautiful swing is a beautiful thing to see. Unfortunately at 13:33 the statistics you keep is shown at exactly the same time as the teaser for the upcoming videos are shown, and the latter completely obscures the former. I'd be interested to hear how much you think that keeping stats on GIR for different clubs has helped you to lower your handicap.
Her swing is magical.

Hey Smilie
😊
Isn't that a reupload? I remember that video (or at least parts until I stopped it).
