- Final Fantasy VI is the property of Square Enix.
Hey guys, back with another VGM cover, and a new FFVI cover too. Final Fantasy VI has an awesome soundtrack so I decided to pick another song from the game to do a cover of, and I will no doubt be doing much more FFVI covers in future.
I picked “Troops March On” as it is an easy song to learn and play, so it wasn’t too taxing on my daily schedule to put this cover together now that I’m back at work. The changes I have made as you would expect being a metal cover are the addition of a full drum kit and distorted guitars. I tuned the bass and guitars down to Drop C for a heavier sound. I have the guitars imitate the bass part and cover the French horn parts. Rather than throw in a guitar solo in the middle of the song like I usually do with my covers, I decided to run another iteration of the theme but have the dynamics drop so it sounds more like the original, with the strings, trumpet, snare drum and timpani, then have it slowly build back up to full metal band again.
I hope you enjoy this video and stay tuned for more VGM covers.

You've made a good work on that theme, happy to see it covered. Nice reminder to Dancing Mad
Thank you. I thought throwing the Dancing Mad intro would be a nice touch.
DUDE, this is incredible! I've always loved this song (it's surprisingly underappreciated) and you perfectly encapsulated the feeling and everything of the original, all the while givin' it your own spin to give it some extra oomph. I love what you did with this here.
I have no idea if you mind song cover suggestions, but either way here's a collection of song suggestions to check out and listen to if you never have before. These are mainly underappreciated/overlooked songs from games that never really get many covers for some weird reason.

@@6metal6legend6 Hey, you're welcome! I wasn't sure if you did or not, but I figured in case you might or just wanted some music to check out, then it'd be cool to pass some songs your way.
If you do wind up doin' anything with one of 'em, then I'm glad to have been of some assistance!
@@6metal6legend6 I realized that I was tired when I typed that comment and botched the name of The Guardian Legend, so I corrected that and wound up formatting the comment so it's easier on the eyes.
It's funny, 'cause I actually came back to the comment due to remembering a few more overlooked/underappreciated songs that I forgot to include that I wanted to that day that sprung to mind that were additionally worth sharing. XD
So, here those are:
► Phantom Brave - Strange Wind
► Darkstalkers 3 (Vampire Savior) - Fetus of God (Jedah Dohma's Theme)
► X-Men: Children of the Atom - Moon Night (Theme of Psylocke / Psylocke's Stage Stage)
► Ring of Destruction: Slam Masters II - Hanover (Black Widow's Theme)
► Xexyz - Title Screen / Area 9-1, 11-1 & 12-4
► Xexyz - Outside Area
Hey would you consider doing songs for a new game if I paid for your work? Thanks!
Hi. I'll have to pass for now as I have a busy schedule outside of this channel plus I don't have any experience being commissioned to compose music for something. Sorry I couldn't help
@@6metal6legend6 no problem at all! Thanks for responding!
