He just installed a Craig Powerplay cassette player with what would be the start of separate power amps and equalizer 6x9 coaxial speakers. It was loud and clear. The video reminds me cruising of cruising those nights. The girls were gorgeous in their tight French jeans.
I don't know what it is about this song....but growing up in the 80s and having some heartaches..... This is one of my Top 5 songs....EVER! And I'm a Hard rocker. My 4 other Top favorites include; Kashmir - Led Zeppelin Touch too Much - AC/DC Pour Some Sugar on Me - Def Leppard Sweet Child of Mine - Guns & Roses.

Greg Hawkes has stated that it was performed a few times at the beginning of the Candy O tour. I really wish some one would find video footage from one of the nights they did perform this song. It would make countless CARS fans happy beyond belief, myself included. My absolute favorite CARS song!!!

I bought the 45 of "Let's Go" when I was a kid, this song was the flip side. I was hopked and it got more play than "Let's Go" did. Both great songs though. Rest in Peace Ben & Ric.
Greg and Elliot are positively ethereal on this track. The harmonies are perfect as is Elliot's always track-perfect solo... which you wish would last just a bit longer. And Ben disliked this song for some reason.
Saw the cars at Compton Terrace in the early eighties Nick Gilder was the opening act Hot Child in the City they were booed and the nasty crowd throwing anything they can find at them and didn't get to finish their set shortly and MC came on stage took control of the unruly crowd he said I'm only going to say this once the cars came here to play not to be targets if anything is thrown on stage they will immediately walk off that's it the cars took the stage and play their Billy badass music one of the best outside night time concerts I've been to
