Another great video as ever. Maybe worth also letting people know, who haven't watched your other video, they should also remove the damping material where the circuit board is located to avoid it damaging the unit. Not sure why the material isn't also replaced there as part of this process 🤔
HI! I wanted to thank you for posting this video tutorial... I have just finished restoring my first series Beolab 8000 and the result is really excellent! Thank you!
Thanks for the kind words, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video! For replacing the woofers in the Beolab 6000, you generally don't need to apply glue or adhesive to the new ones. The original woofers were glued in place, but when replacing them, most of the time, they will fit directly into the mounting area without needing additional glue. However, it’s important to make sure that the new woofers are securely seated and that no air leaks around the edges, which could affect the performance. If you’re unsure or the new woofers don’t fit as snugly, you can use a mild adhesive (like speaker gasket glue) to ensure they stay in place. Always double-check the manufacturer’s instructions to be sure.

Very good point Mark. Thank you.
I don't know, I think Bang & Olufsen haven't think about that?

You're welcome. Thank you for following the channel.
Great video, thank you for sharing. When replacing the woofers, do you need to apply glue / adhesive? Since they were glued in previously?

HI, I don't see the surrounding material in your store as you mentioned in your video.
We do not sell surrounding material, but we sell Beolab 6000 bas driver with new surrounding on.
Thoughts on box volume difference by losing the second foam piece up top?
The impact of removing the second foam piece at the top on the box volume depends on the context and purpose of the box
You can find the new damping material in our website.
