A Variety of Tractors | Dyno Day. How to test horsepower on your tractor. Testing horsepower on antique tractors. #farmallfanatic #farmall #antiquetractors
Thank you for showing us the horsepower of these tractors. Some dyno videos don't always show the horsepower. It's always amazes me when people put their tractors on the dyno, they always seem disappointed on the results. The Ford guy was practically calling the operator of the dyno a lier.😊
This is the tractor version of deer hunters that never weigh their deer but say what it weighed…….. or a fisherman that doesn’t weigh their catch but throws out numbers expecting to be believed!😂😂😂
I thought the guy with the 861 was crazy. We used to have a 881 select-o-speed and it was supposed to be around 55 HP and being a size smaller I figured the 861 would be less.. I looked it up and the 861 was stated as 63 HP gross, 56 HP engine, and 44 HP drawbar. It all depends on transmissions and accessories.
Thanks for sharing this, you had information people need when looking for the right classic tractor for their needs. Seeing what a particular tractor HP is makes a difference if you want it for a certain task. Thanks for the video.
That was really cool watching all these tractors pull on the dyno ! That one guy was going to argue about his Ford tractors power lol Sound about like a Ford guy lol Thanks for sharing and have a great day !
Excellent On Dyno PTO hp Gino :) and have ever seen Motor HP on Dyno for Combine it amazing to see how to works and say oh my goodness ! I seen once and was so interesting too also see how get RPM so cool too! My dad had RPM one for Check on like kids toy put peg on RPM top engine belt shaft near nut on low idle then watch spinner gauge float from 0 to 5.000 RPM gauge up 0 to 1.000 RPM for 10 mins then take of Spinner gauge needle tell what got should be 650 to 850 RPM on needles if low put back on Belt pulley nut in Middle turn carb idle to Owner Manual specs reading should be ! For gas tractor put Spinner on Alternator shaft in middle on front for low idle see says! McCormick International made those Spinner Idle in in 1964 to 1968 last I known!
I used to own a Farmall M. It always seemed to have more steam than most. Put it on a Dyno at a tractors show once and it was putting out 52 h.p. It had a distillate manifold that had more cubic inches on intake. I think this is what gave it the extra balls cuz when that manifold crapped out I put a manifold off a parts w6 and it lost 10 h.p.
I called ahead because I was planning on bringing out the H, and they said that they would not put guy wire anchors to hold the dyno down, and I said no deal. Safety has to come first Looks like a fun show The Steer tires on my little utility loader tractor that I use the Massey Ferguson are a short sidewall 18.4x34
I have an M&W P400B Dyno I just finished rebuilding. I still need to paint it, but the budget is gone into the pump. Have to say, I think M&W Built a gimmick more than a tool when it came to these dynameters. They are finicky and terribly inaccurate unless you have EVERYTHING in the right range for operating. If the oil has too many hours on it and has thinned out or the wrong oil is in it they will read low/ High. If the oil is too hot they will read low, but the temp gauge never seemed to move off bottom that I could see, so hard to tell. Operating temp on the oil is 140-180 Degrees typically. M&W used a cheaper aluminum pump that had issues too, cant tell what this dyno has in it without looking. Mine has the Cast iron pump which is serviceable and more dependable. These dyno's are also very finicky on RPM, you have to be dead nuts on the gauge or use the slide rule to be accurate. I sometimes regret putting the money into mine that I did, but I justify myself by calling it a toy.
Tractor data claims 62hp on an 861 at the engine, so 40 something on the pto sounds pretty close. I have a 961 powermaster, same RED TIGER engine, just the high crop, never dyno'd it though.
I dont understand the greene guys love for those 2 cylinder poppin Johnnys with the tooth rattling, head ache inducing engine note. Next best thing to a steamer i guess.
Good day Watching JD 70 jerking around, yrs ago neighbour needed kiln dried sawdust blown in barn lll, uneven flow kept shearing pins because of 2 cyl Dad put w-6 on, work ok
I have a question I know you can answer. Where should an 856 diesel dyno at? We pulled 5-16s 10 inches deep with a clod buster rake on the high side of second with ours.
That guy in that ford needs to eat a bowl of reality. He brought his tractor to the dyno. He didn’t like what it dynoed at. His problem. He needs to realize that his tractor is 41 hp at the pto. If he thinks it’s 65 hp then good for him. But it’s not. I could keep going. But people like him just make my blood boil.
Yikes! Should always kill the engine before doing anything near a PTO shaft. They clearly have never witnessed an injury with a shaft not being completely disengaged. Especially with the older machines. Safety first.

Ahahahahahahaha yep...450 tested well
I love my fords, but they are just steel and rubber, gotta keep the egos in check.. lol

I believe everything everyone says even if I know it's not true 🤣
Thank you for recording the show , I always like to hang around the dyno and check out the horsepower of a variety of tractors as well!😎

Good day Those ford's all used 172 cu in. They were not a big motor 65, yes Nebraska never tested 65 horse with these.
Nice tractor show =)
That first one in the intro 😊❤👍👌
That was very interesting! Thank you for sharing my friend!
This was tractor heaven, very cool!
Well this was dynomite nice to see the Dino going and people guessing what the horse power might be 🏆🇺🇸
Hi thats cool dyno. Id like get my tractors tested see what there doing. Enjoyed your video Gino thanks. Have a good day.
Looks like a great show!
Was surprised by the WD horsepower. We had one,,called it the screaming tomato can. Great little tractor.
That JD A was just about right on the money. the square axle As weee rated for 38 at the pto
I was surprised

I love those flat fenders! Take my sweet tea with me to the field!!😂😂😂
Preferably without fuel leaks!🤣
He had her tightened down in about three seconds 💥BOOM 💥
@@FarmallFanatic That’s what she said!😂
very interesting, good way to check your horsepower!
Man awesome video!

Thank you for another great video!

That 1466 is your dream tractor I bet!!
Definitely
If it ever came at the right price would you ever have a Farmall F30
Great video 👍 glad to see that over there you have the owners who dispute the dyno reading as well 🙄😳😂😂Red Power 💪💪💥
Haha yep
Nice. Love that F30.
awesome guess work ur bang on

That sounds correct

If you leave on the H now...you should be here by Friday 🤣
@@FarmallFanatic I like that little tractor, but I can't see being on that thing putting in 8 or 10 hours
No all the old farmers made the kids drive them.
I can’t believe you called the horsepower on that little dozer!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lucky shot! 😂😂😂
I looked at that engine and was like yeah about thirty five horse haha
@@FarmallFanatic Ummm. actually 40……. Do you hire out your editing already??? I’m in the wrong niche😂😂😂
wish we could dyno our 1466, it was turned up to 180 im curious to see how many horses are at the pto
That would be cool to see
The steam engine turning the baker fan was awesome! That's not something you see every day
And then you went and called the Allis Chalmer‘s! So many lucky shots. I don’t think it’s looking too lucky now.😅
I think i've been around these tractors too long 🤣
Interesting to see the pto hp of the tractors. Not hard to see differences in lug-down torque.
Nice array of tractors at this show..
Definitely
I need to find the time to get back to my 460 utility diesel Haven't worked on it all year

I think I remember that 450 with the 706 fenders...
Those 01 series tractors are not making 65 pto hp. Ford rated the 172 in that tractor at 62.5 hp without accessories.
Definitely had me raising an eyebrow lol
I know the owner of that 1466, he has a collection of red that would raise eyebrowes for sure

Basically
It’s fun to listen to for a bit but I wouldn’t want to sit on one all day farming, I love my Johnnys a lot but they can get annoying after a while
Damn missed the antique show. Do they still have the fall show
Today's the last day
Good day Watching JD 70 jerking around, yrs ago neighbour needed kiln dried sawdust blown in barn lll, uneven flow kept shearing pins because of 2 cyl Dad put w-6 on, work ok
Makes sense
@@FarmallFanatic Cen't get over 656 only 44 hp. Thanks
The 1466, 😍
They tested our 400 gas at 61 hp in frederick md international dealer it had fire created pistons in it they said
That makes a difference
That box must be very heavy when the pto doesn't flip it over, what stops that from happening
A brake system
Would a Christmas tree valve control rod for an M work on my H? I need the rod but can't find one specifically for an H
Oh i'm sure it could be made to fit
Didn’t see ya there were you there Friday?
Yep
We're those over sized rear tires on the 450 with the pallet lift?
Pretty sure 15.5x38s
I have a question I know you can answer. Where should an 856 diesel dyno at? We pulled 5-16s 10 inches deep with a clod buster rake on the high side of second with ours.
90 to 95 hp if nobody turned up the pump
@@FarmallFanatic Wanna say my uncle had it turned up the day they unloaded it brand new.
Turned up i've seen them turn one hundred and thirty horsepower
@FarmallFanatic Thanks for the info. Explains why it handled that 5 bottom with ease. Red Power!!

My dads 766 went 105hp and wasn't warmed up
Those are beasts
That gas 656 plenty tired
Yep
