We are American expats, living now, full time, in beautiful Calabria Italy, in wonderful Scalea. Michael is physically disabled, with mobility issues. As we vlog Italy, we do like to show in our videos, that anyone can dare to dream of life in Italy, regardless of mobility issues. The truth is, Italy mobility can, at times, be challenging. But, never impossible. So, come along with us on our adventures in Calabria, and beyond! We experience Italy living to the very fullest. And we invite you along! This was delightful and it was great to hear of the thrilling developments for both of you. What a perfect day! I’m fascinated by the scooter development because I was looking into alternatives (3 wheel e-bike or such) to having a car in Italy since I would rarely need one (taxi?) but long walks carrying groceries is beyond me. I was looking at the Ape but I believe you said you must still have a driver’s license (I won’t be a full time resident so not eligible). You appear to be thorough planners so I have confidence the scooter will be wonderful. Thank you for your lovely channel!
Hi Maya. For us, the scooter was definitely the option. Especially as I (Michael) am disabled. How neato! Get helmets anyway in case someone hits you. Even bicycle riders wear helmets ❤

Oh and there are even Bluetooth helmets that you can talk to each other from when road noise gets loud. Some are motorcycle helmets and others are bicycle helmets. Our family of four uses Sena, the bicycle type. You can even play music from your phone on them and accept calls!
What a fabulous scooter, enjoy your freedom, would love one myself as I have bad arthritis all over and have trouble walking, I was thinking of getting a small foldable scooter that fits in the car boot to use when shopping, don’t think I am game enough to travel on the road, roundabouts look scary, I don’t think they are legal to ride on the road in Australia.

It snowed at the Hollywood sign and some other parts of LA. It's almost to ground level here now

@Prego Italia - Living Our Italian Dream it's been cool to cold pretty much from early November except for the heat wave around Christmas. The ground can't take any more rain in most areas. It has not ruined that much here mountains block everything east of cabezon. There was a tropical pull yesterday causing over 5inches in downtown LA to 9inches at LA pierce college. Then the the snow in places

Another great vid, any chance of explaining how to pay for parking?
We use handicap pass for our parking in marked yellow spots with handicap symbols . In Italy white marked spots are free. Blue marked spots in Italy are pay with a sign to instruct payment instructions at nearby machines

Question for you.. We live in Calabria also, and are wondering if you have a contact website, store, or number to check out the scooter. As both my husband and myself have lost our Canadian licences (due to Italian residency issues), it looks like something to look into with no drivers licence. Hi there....we are not actually sure if there is a website for the school. We will have to ask. I do not believe there is a school for non-residents. There are tutors, that advertise. However, for me (Michael), the best that I am getting now is the app Babbel. This helps a lot. We hope that you have a blast when you get here. Scalea is beautiful. Thanks for watching. If you are trying to lose weight, Justin, just reduce your portion size to the size of your fist. You can have anything you want, just don't eat more than that. It's easier said than done. Sorry! But, it does work!
