Like the op stated, it's 90% cardio in the ring, that's how good boxers maintain form throughout long fights, they can focus on form and not sucking air, when a boxer gasses that's when the haymakers start.

Y’all have to remember that Kyle doesn’t have the smartest fight IQ, he always wants be beat his opponent at his own game. He’s shown to have some good straight punches and counters but Mr. pain here came from hell throwing massive hooks with longer reach and bopped Kyle early. You could tell when the reff broke it up that Kyle was tilted. Which, since he won, good for him, it worked. He waited for pain to tire out then show him he can do better at the haymakers, for whatever reason but a dub’s a dub.
