Why are the old voicebanks always the best ones? Im not saying this as an "old is gold" or just cause nostalgia and stuff, its cause lots of v2 (and even Meiko and Kaito v1) when tuned well sound better than their new voicebanks 😭
I genuinely can’t recognize Meiko’s & Luka’s voices when paired with Miku’s unless it’s their original V1 and V3 banks respectively. Luka especially. I’m glad they’re getting updates though. Hopefully many producers find a use for the SuperPack.
I feel like kaito’s SP is the best, along with maybe Len/Rin, but granted i haven’t used them personally yet They feel less like of “remakes” of the old voices and more of just.. whatever miku NT is Nasally at the very least
@@galaxyexpress1020you can replicate the roboticness on older versions, however we're talking about 2024, they must at least give us SOME improvements, not downgrades and larynx manipulations (cough, Luka, cough)
Im gonna try to defend SP: I like the roboticness if im being honest. Miku sounds like her normal self just lighter which is cute, Rin and Len sound pretty smooth and the high pitch of SP voicebanks actually works well for them. Cant defend Luka 😭, Meiko sounds nice but i miss her adult, low pitches and Kaito sounds like usual. Not as bad as people say but some are better than others... They seem like a good buy cause 6 voicebanks in one purchase with a decent price is a pretty good deal
I beg to differ, but I respect this nonetheless. It just felt like they're doing the bare minimum these days, and when we said bare, Luka goes ly. Cause she barely sounds like herself, homegirl is put through mid life crisis by Crypton here.
I would have honestly preferred making their V3 and V4x Voicebanks with piapro and V6 than the SP honestly. Miku still sounds like Miku, Kaito and Meiko are the same but Meiko sounds a little younger, Rin and Len are OK, but Luka is literally Miku but lowered.
I think they are aiming for the voices from project sekai (which use the NT engine btw) so we can expect their NT voicebanks to sound somewhat similar to the SP banks
Fr it depends on the tuning ig. I heard beautiful fucking covers and I’d even say miku sounds kinda realistic. Like smoother than V2 at least. And I’m not talking about the choppy crunchy noise she makes at default. I like all but luka. She’s basically miku append
@choconut_. Yeah I agree. Luka is sorta the only one who just sounds off. I don't hate it but... Its def not very Luka. To me Kaito and Len sound FUCKING AMAZING. Like objectively I can't wait to buy SP. Vocaloid fans rly fail to understand good tuning sometimes and it sucks cause any voicebank can sound awesome. And some voice banks are better for certain sounds. Not every ones gonna sound realistic or robotic or rock or opera. Like I love Po-Uta but ppl who try to make him sing ballads with little instrumentals are doin him a disservice.
@@kawaii33366 Fr! I also feel the same about NT. While it’s not the best, oh boy them skilled tuners make her sound amazing. I heard this recent English song using Miku NT and I literally thought they used that RCV AI shit for miku. Turns out they didn’t (they showed proof.) My mind was BLOWN 😭😭. Miku singing in English so smoothly like she has an AI I couldn’t believe it. A lot of people judge before using the product. You have to get used to the program first just like Vocaloid. And Kaito SP my beloved. Second favorite voice 😍. He demolishing fr. I haven’t heard much of Len. I have to search for covers.

Update: Deadass they sounded like 2008 first released UTAUs.
(Talking about the SP)
I like the roboticness but if im being 100% honest ive seen LOTS of VCV's that are more realistic than SP (even some VC's!)

Trust me a lot of UTAUs sounds better and more understandable than all SP and v4x Cryptonloid voicebanks
