Did YOU expect FaZe to beat NAVI 2-0?!
Yes of course. They were destined to win this major!
Yes
After I saw the veto I did. Not before it though.
hell yeah
thought it would be 2-1 before the veto
Karrigan is the sort of guy who would succeed no matter what career he takes. His attitude towards everything is so positive, yet stays realistic. Best IGL

yeah it’s cool as well because if ur from norway, estonia, or latvia you didnt have a major winning player to idolize before now, fuck even na has been hungry for a beacon of hope with valorant and covid and all that shit

So happy for you legend. Well deserved victory for all the guys in FaZe. Amazing job
Happy for him! He worked so hard during his career and definitely contributed enormously to any team he has ever joined, he simply deserves the Major.
He gets the final frag of the entire tournament, what an amazing ending
I’m happy for rain the most, with faze since 2016 always loyal to them and now he gets a major
seriously my feel good moment, him putting on this performance in the finals alone. beautiful stuff
Absolutely deserved, well done to these legends.
He did what no other could till now, being the first & only international roster to win a Major.
GOAT IGL (Undisputed)
would this team wipe the floor with prime Astralis?
@@davidschaffer9914 too ez
I would say the meta has evolved very far that any top 2022 team today could challenge 2018-19 astralis.
It's just a matter of CS comp scene growing through the years
not better than glaive lo
@@w1nterf0x_19 yeah, the teams of today are all based on peak astralis
Watching this level of CS in the major makes me appreciate the Astralis Era even more
SAME!
There was a lot of high iq decision making by the players individually imo.
But yeah astralis was different. When they were making the high level moves they made them as a team not individually, you can't see that team play anymore.
In what way. The astralis era had significantly weaker top 10. Sure respect the achievement. Just don't understand how it brought more appreciation as they had easier opponent's
@@maskedkitsune9774 people like you seem to forget that it was strong. Astralis was just so much better that everyone else like bad. Its like comparing s1mple in 2021 to other players that year, compared to him they look like shit
Didn't like Astralis era because it's way too boring
I prefer rivalry between teams like Luminosity/SK,VP,Envyus,Old G2
I feel cs has become boring nowadays
He is really a goat igl, building the 3 core astralis device, xyp and dupreh. Now he build another 3 core internasional faze twistz, ropz and broky
Hey, sorry, im a new cs:go fan. How exactly did he build the Astralis core? Wasn't he not a part of that team?
@@Pyxyty prior to Astralis they were TSM and in a rock paper scissors with the legionary fnatic lineup and NV. Before that they were under dignatas and reached #2 world ranking.
The structure of the Astralis core was built by him. A lot of the strats and plays they continued to use were developed by him and this is why his teams have always performed well against them even when struggling otherwise.
@@69nites i see. Thanks very much for the info! Only started watching this year so I'm not too faniliar with the history, but it's certainly interesting. Much appreciated!
@@Pyxyty yeah. Karrigan is the one who made the change for device to full time AWP over Cajun after having them swap dependant on map. He is the one that came up with the grenade to cross doors on dust 2 to save a smoke for site defense.
More than one meta has been defined by his contributions as an IGL.
If he decides to coach when he retires as a player he'll almost certainly be the greatest coach of all time.
@@69nites and Faze was the only team that beat prime Astralis 3-0.
Legend. Well done Karrigan 🙂👍
king has his crown
Congrats Champ!
I was thinking this as well. this FaZe really has the chance to be the next Astralis
Karrigan the legend, glad the king finally got his crown.
Wow. This guy is amazing!!!!
Dextetro once you said if karrigan win this major it's between him and gla1ve and now i understand it you were right he is a legend there is no doubt about it.
Great guy
Honestly even if Karrigan an rain retires soon, with his comment about Broky Twistzz and ropz staying together, if Karrigan became head coach of FaZe and continued with them I can really see the Astralis era coming together. Just pick up a few young talents (like me lol jk unless) and he could really build something with FaZe or whatever team they’d be with.
As a FaZe fan who supported them even in their lowest moments the past few years, i'd really like for that to happen. But even just right now in this moment, I am already so proud of what this team had accomplished. Hope they get a well-deserved rest to recharge!
@@bruceskellator same here brother! Don’t want them retiring anytime soon ofc. Can’t wait to see what more they have in store.
I was actually thinking about the same, rain and yekindar is a like to like replacment..... With karrigan as coach, get someone unproven and semi decent...it's on
@@bruceskellator yea i literally used to skip to the end cuz i couldnt watch if Faze lost. Always hoped they'd pull it together. Now it's time for me to hope for G2 and really Niko
fortunately as rain said he is only 27 and still hungry for more trophies and also said that karrigan still has a few more years which can mean as low as 2 years and as high as 5 years
best igl of all time
Glaive is 26, karrigan is 32. Glaive has 4 majors, karrigan has 1. Glaive made the game what it is today, karrigan did not.
@@stylebreaks757 gla1ve greatest
karrigan best
how many lineups did gla1ve make top 2? Only 1
Karrigan? 4
@@stylebreaks757 it’s a debate now not as one sided as you think
@@stylebreaks757 gla1ve never did it with an international roster. He had the same roster for years, karrigan has had to deal with so many different teams. Gla1ve with a new roster and astralis are ass, karrigan took mousesports to world number 1 and this faze team to world number 1
@@yomamaMTV Being the best IGL means knowing how to handle egos imo. Karrigan took many names, nationality to the top while Glaive only had 1 roster in his 4 major wins. Now I'm not saying Glaive is not a top IGL he's top 1 in Major wins but he never really won outside the Astralis core just look at Astralis now. Karrigan led many teams to wins which helps his case being the best IGL imo.
Faze era baby
Hes so humble, he literally brings a new team to the major every time after building them up and honing their talents and breathing new life into players then getting booted after getting the team into the top 10. There's no doubt hes the goat IGL
gla1ve said hello
Glaive evolved astralis teamplay to another level, leveled up Magisk, won with Kyerbae, but Karrigan started the Dupreeh, Xyp, Device trio to play better . It may be Glaive but Karrigan did his great role in a few more teams which is more amazing.
@@killertale1538 If glaive can bring another set of players to a major final or even win then maybe we can talk about it. But i highly doubt we will ever see that happen
@@Thelittlesthoboson he won it 4 times with a team karrigan couldn't win
@@killertale1538 ok. but theres no evidence to prove he can do the same with any other lineup than that one, which is what makes a truely great leader, not just a correlation between winning with the same lineup a few times.
When Karrigan is "always hungry for more", he is called "GOAT IGL". When I am "always hungry for more" I´m called "a fat slob". Smh the double standards in esports.
Wkwkwkwk its ok bro
If the Faze boys are able to pull off an era like Astralis or even better I'm gonna lose my mind
What a leader, get those reps in and let's see how are you doing against gla1ve in few years
lol, Glaive took an established team to the top with the help of a GOAT coach, where is he now? Fucking nowhere ;D The guy literally has almost all of the top Danish talent outside of heroic and still shits the bed. Glaive cant tie Karrigans shoes man. If Glaive gets this dogshit Astralis to the #1 spot this year it will be like Karrigan getting Mouse to #1. But, spoiler alert, that aint happening
@@mindaugasmazrimas4554 you're talking shit about a guy that won 4 majors, 3 in a row. Clearly, you have no idea what you're talking about
@@mindaugasmazrimas4554 I am talking about a GOAT IGL status, gla1ve still have 4 majors, you gotta respect that. Even though I think karrigan's path to his trophies is more respectable, he still needs more trophies to surpass gla1ve in that all time title.
@@mindaugasmazrimas4554 Glaive showed the cs world that you can be a great fragger while being an igl. If you followed CS long enough, you'd know how much glaive and co changed the meta.
@@mindaugasmazrimas4554 4 times major winner and 1 time major winner with help of superstar team omegalul
I am really glad that karrigan and Faze at all won this major, my heart stood with Navi, and the fact that I saw them lose yet another Major Final made me a bit upset.
Goat IGL. No doubt
2022-the year of faZe 🍎🍎🍎
During Astralis era they were way ahead of any team with there new strats, utils and other teams were changing teams but with this Navi & Faze are 50/50 one can beat another easily in the next encounter.
Rain have always been a superstar for me atleast ( Norwegian ) :D
And people still complain about him having negative stats most of their matches, they don't understand he mostly tries to get info. and positional knowledge of the other team; sometimes he gets an opening (especially when playing ct side, or pushing through smokes like nothing matters), sometimes he may not, but that reflects the amount of trust he has on the rest of the team to win the round.
I think recently his playstyle and mechanics have actually evolved. I think he realized there is less need for aggression on ct side because of the m4a1-s meta. It's on t-side where he still makes his aggressive plays but unlike before he is usually in a tradeable position or he actually gets the entry kills (just look at the triple entry he got on inferno vs navi).
To be honest, there is no chance for them to make an era like astralis. Nowadays overall skill is so much higher, teamwork is majority of succes. If they are going to play like that, other teams gonna preper against them harder and harder. Same situation was with Navi and their nuke etc.
Maybe not era, but the same legacy. They have still years to come. Them lifting 4 more majors in the years to come isnt something insane to say. The three of them have atleast 5 more years to create that legacy.
@@imnick1880 Yea, but rain and karrigan are huge for the team, but with the right recruitment for sure
Overall skill was already high back then. Not sure about it being higher to be honest. Astralis never had the best players, they just had the best teamplay
@@ATROFlAR That’s the point it’s a team game no matter how hard a carry is carrying just to mention NiKo who is just cursed but relies too much on individual plays. Just like people play for frags in pugs instead of playing for rounds using each round’s seconds 😅
Best IGL
Rain pulled off some legit major winning shit
They need a grand slam
W karrigan
Astralis: Hold that COVID for us.
Doubt it, once he takes a break like he said, all this momentum will die down and they will get dethroned, they need to keep playing until they get burned out like astralis
The writings was all over the wall. No doubt they could win.
He might become the best IGL of 2022
He is. No doubt
He is. Won all three tier 1 LANs of the year. Even if hypothetically FaZe don't do too much for the rest of the year, the first five months have made enough for him to be contending for IGL of the year
He's the best IGL of all time. He has won a similar amount of tier 1 tournaments as gla1ve, but Karrigan has done it on like 5 different rosters while gla1ve only managed to do it on a roster that Karrigan literally built himself.
Love this for Karrigan and Rain. They have been waiting for this moment and working hard to get a major for years now. Mark my words when I say this, NiKo will never win a major.
I did think that they would beat NaVi, but not in a 2-0 fasion.
Is this his 2nd time to the grand final?
next astralis? Tall order but nothing is impossible
wouldn't say they're the next astralis. their playstyle is way different. still insane players tho
He didn't mean playstyle
Well they definitely doesn't gonna be like Astralis because G2 and Navi would be 100x times prepared than they last time
I want G2 win smth finally, but there is smth that doesnt click. The crowd had quite a lot of Vita and G2 fans and its a shame they didnt make it to the playoffs.
@@ad3mn actually G2 deserves a major win but also navi deserves his second one
dont say that, bc you got kicked before Astralis be the prime

CadiaN should learn from Karrigan on how to behave and be a role model to young generations.
Yes
He's better than Glaive.
True right now, but not all time. Glaive is 26, karrigan is 32. Glaive has 4 majors, karrigan has 1. Glaive made the game what it is today, karrigan did not.
