      Is nothing inspiring with her story: yes she overcame poverty, she is doing well, but @ the same time it make her a soul without emotions, her face shows a lady that is about herself, dosn't care about the suffering. Wowww! I am mad and sad. Halle pl. Go and work with those in need, then your ways and soul are HAMBLE

    her mother not helping....i would hug my daughter and help her in every way i think its american mentality non caring and your on your own..or "get a life' or "become independent"we need love and caring from our parents.we are depended on caring and love.

      totally agree with you and wish more mothers understand that, world would be more tender place to be. the other day I watched video, where she was talking about her suicide attempt after divorce and Oprah asked her, why she didn't call her mother and ask for support in such a horrible emotional state... now I really know why... it is so sad...

      you are so right.i came from a "family" american, there was no emotonal sopport, my mother was struggling on every level, and died.there was money but no caring kind heart.there was always the feeling " your on your own life is not fair ect.." i found out later she was sexualy abused, and the family abanded her.she abused me and i needed ansers to choose to live.there was no emotional caring .no one said : "im here for you i love you".i did it 4my children and self.the american dream was just a dream and its over.ive suffered from this.my father abanded me emotionaly from birth.he worked as an editor.so what.he missed out in this life time 4caring 4his beautiful daughter.what a lose.its a chioce.

      this is heavy and really painful situation to grow up in... but I can tell you, not everyone, who went through such a household will understand what caring and love is. often people just continue the pattern, so they would do the same to their children (not caring and being so hurt and traumatized, they actually can't be caring parents at all). If you feel and understand so deep, what caring and love is and that it's so important (and this is true!) then... you have a choice in this life time and real possibility to heal your wounds and stop the pattern in your family. and also... maybe you come here to do something about changing this "american dream", where children are feeling so lonely and abandoned. we often face extreme pain in our lives to have a contrast and out of this we can understand our desire and mission here. you can heal yourself and bring healing to this world in many ways! bless your heart! it was not broken in those conditions you were raised! it really mean something!

    from my experience the worse kinds of women ive ever encountered were in shelters. the corruption and the evils i encountered i dont think id even donate to any shelters if i ever became rich which i will one day but homeless shelters dont intrigue or inspire me at all. what ive seen and went through in those. places. i dont like em nor the women or the workers. the true experience is horrible. Im a huge fan of Halle and respect that she relates to so much her movie frankie and alice is amazing. Much respect to her.

    • @MakeHipHopaconsciencetreasure
      @MakeHipHopaconsciencetreasure 6 років тому +1

      Green Ogre thats a whole chapter book answer. I doubt she's been to the shelters I've been in- but honestly the workers wouldnt let her in or anyone in to investigate certain corruptions. Such as the mishandling of donation money. There were women in there who came to seek lesbian lovers and these women had places or werent seeking housing and so the facility became a prison yard. Theres alot of things that go on in shelters- and i know such as staff and case workers selling drugs to homeless clients- who got the money either from ssi,ssd,welfare,panhandling or stealing. I can go into personal accounts and ovservations but its too long of an answer. Some women came in and followed rules and some did not.

      Esther Sicard and that's in NYC? Unfortunately, this doesn't surprise me (I was on the train talking to someone about stuff like this he was in a mixed shelter) this is really ashame. I hate when people take advantage of people who are struggling (or just in general) that's so evil and it really bothers me. Places like that need to be reported to the authorizaties str8🆙

    Yeah, no matter what she says about her mother not helping her, I think it sucks. You help family, f*ck those old school notions and boot-strap bullsh*t. She was young and learning, this wasn't some repeated behavior, or due to exceedingly bad choices (drugs, promiscuity, etc). Homelessness is a life-threatening situation, especially for women (who are often raped). This beautiful woman at one point was pushed to the point of suicide. That doesn't happen to ppl who feel loved and worthy. That's invariably an indicator of one's upbringing. Her mother should be ashamed of herself.

      edιтн andrade she has a history of being over-dramatic in her personal life. So sometimes the story gets extra in their minds (dramatic people) and they start including other’s stories but fully believing it is their own...I have a family member like this. She tells a story that I know isn’t true because I was there but she fully believes it. Halle also had a BF dentist, I think from Chicago, that sued her because he spent a lot of money on her. Her ex husband also said she had emotional issues and was dramatic. But she could be telling the truth? But I am just a bit skeptical, lol.

    • @khismet
      @khismet 6 років тому +6

      Michael Simmons _ Halle's 'life' is a public one..no one is delving! She's telling one of her many versions of her 'homeless' experience. She's always prone to exaggerate the nuanced details..becuz she's a drama queen! There's absolutely a pattern w Halle ..so many have attested to that FACT..all anyone else needs to do ..is listen deeper! There's more to her than her pretty face & soft voice. Don't believe the hype!

    • @OldskolFan
      @OldskolFan 6 років тому +2

      Michael Simmons duh, I read a lot of celebrity biographies and gossip...and I can still have a life! She is a public figure and has never kept her private life, private. But trust me, these celebrities know the PR game, and how to manipulate it. Hard luck stories wins you a lot of fans who get emotional investment in you. Maybe that’s why we all like and support Halle? She goes through a lot but doesn’t stop.

      OldskolFan Idk. I believe her just solely off of how well she would play crackhead characters, and around the way girl chatacters. I alwayz wondered why she played those roles so well, and living at a homeless shelter sure does give you those types to study. Js.

      Lil Jay I agree with you(she's still gorgeous) but I find it more funny because it's ironic how she and her first ex were fighting over him dyeing their daughter's hair and she said to stop lightening it and straightening it so she looks less white and just let her be natural.. and what do we have here? Halle with straighter bleached hair 😂

    • @Michelle-pn9xt
      @Michelle-pn9xt 6 років тому +6

      That is probably her natural hair color. If I a person who is not biracial and white has curly hair and flat irons it, what race are they trying to be? She is not trying to look more white. One of her parents IS white. Lots of people use a flat iron on their hair. The interview has nothing to do with race. She can do whatever she wants to do with her hair. Are you her mom or dad? Are you paying her bills?

      Her mother (if that was her real mother) was very mean.She was a nurse how could she let her daughter live in a homeless shelter.Granted she wanted her to do something else but her daughter did not want that.She wanted acting modeling or whatever.I am sure she reaps the benefits now of her daughter's choice.

    She looks nothing like she did in the 90's. Face and complexion has changed.

      You can't judge by her complexion by pictures. Brown skin can appear lighter or darker depending on the lighting and it also tans darker easily during the summer season.

      Maggie F She has already said she hasn't gotten any plastic surgery, and I believe her because faces change and noses and lips become thinner with age. Especially with her being half white.
