@@praveenmatheesha4394 because in js/python the swap() and approve() would be two separate transactions being sent to the blockchain. If instead you use a smart contract you can do the swap() and approve() in the same atomic instant, thus only sending 1 transaction to accomplish both tasks

Of course. You would just write a proxy contract that handles the swap and approval for tokenIn within the same function
