Left architecture school, but I am slowly making my way back into architecture, studying rhino8 and computational design, and architecture photography. Before I listen to this tutorial, i’d like to state four things that I learned in architecture, and two of them I learned after graduating. My four comments are to focus and stress on the word “structure.”
1.) Architecture is the study of the refinement of “structural” design?
2.) A concept is what “structures” and shapes an idea.
3.) Form, is an abstract idea defined by an abstract “structure.”
4.) Neuroscience, or neurobiology is the study of the “structure” of the central nervous system.
I wish these four things were taught and clarified within schools of architecture, and I don’t see these actually being attempted to be communicated to students in academia. There is even a UA-cam channel titled “what is architecture,” and none of the professional architects being interviewed on that question and on that channel, can clearly state and can respond to…What is architecture. Hence, if you don’t ever clarify to someone what they’re actually doing or what they’re attempting to learn or study, the objective of the whole or outcome is missed, and people are problem solving things without consciously knowing what they are doing. Thx.

Mechanically, thinking about what a Neuroscientist would be concerned about in architecture…just the glass in building today negatively impacts light that is supposed to hit the Neurons in your eyes, and set your biological clock. Every hunter knows this when they go camping and hunting. That’s just a mechanistic use of Neuroscience in the design of buildings.

This is a very good talk, but I think it would help if the other videos also have the title of the talk in them.
