So I did exactly this for my Maas Areo scull which hit a rock today and lost its fin (if this happens to anyone, best to row 'backwards'-- facing front because there's much better control of the boat), I luckily found the fin, and then these instructions, which were perfecto. Thanks for the note on masking the boat and fin before applying the goop. Preesh!!
Hi Cailin I think you might be referring to the steering tube. This was a fin replacement on a pair. If you are changing fin on a scull it will not have this tube hole. Good luck. Let us know how you go! #SykedUp
really helpful thanks guys, on my fin the silicon had started to come out and so there was water coming into the hull. Going to go and resilicon the fin today, is there a reason that the screw remains in the boat rather then removing it?
