Lol...you did some mistakes too. This is probably one of the cheapest rods of the YUKI brand that is the leader in Europe surfcasting related, try the YUKI SAIKO A11 for example that costs $600 that has better HIGH MODULUS CARBON and they have even more expensive. Not sure how many oz you using in this test but probably the max 8oz. Most of the time when we test a new rod and we think the ferronds are totally inserted because they were so tight but they aren't, the rods break and we blame the brand, in reality was our fault!. Some of these comments say this is a rod to use just with spinning reels...That is wrong because these rods are made with X45 technology which means the carbon was the same resistance all around 360 degrees. Buy a good rod from YUKI and you will see that you will love it! BTW the LOW RIDER first guide is inverted/taller, this is to avoid the line touching the rod when casting due to the spirals that line does, this increases the casting distance.

Very well said my friend , i live in the Mediterranean and i do surfcasting . And ofc i use a yuki rod . An A4 + sensitive to be ecact.
And apparently this dude has nothing to do with fishing because technique is the main key in surfcasting. My A4+ is an entry level rod and i throw a 120grams weight with it EASILY.
Buying an expansive over 1000dollars rod doesn't mean its better , it just means that it can be handled with a noob that will always stay a noob.
And again , well said my friend.

That rod is designed for use with a fixed spool reel, lighter leads, thinner lines and isn’t designed for power casting techniques like off-ground or pendulum.

Yeah I found out the hard way lol I should have read about it more before I got it. Here in the USA we throw up to 10oz and bait but it was a caring phase for me broke down and got a boat.

@@KennethLondon-ft9gw Unfortunate - Euro "Continental" rod weights are lead + bait, but are generally fished just beyond (or in) breaking surf, so casting distance (& therefore extreme rod compression) is rarely required. You're also substantially bigger build than the average Mediterranean angler...rod didn't stand a chance !

@toefur14ft spinning rod? You must be joking! 😂 It’s a European Continental surfcasting rod, designed to be used with a fixed spool reel with fine lines and small baits. Not designed (despite what the weight rating says) for power casting with heavy weights.

I was looking for a cheap field casting rod just to mess around with got it and realized it wasnt really up to par for my needs truthfully I didnt think it would break but it was rated up to 8oz and had 6oz on it I was informed that the rod is for "low" energy cast.

This is not a spinning rod. It's a surfcasting rod and it's the rods we use in Europe for beach fishing. There's a lot of well none companies making this kind of rods. Yuki it's not the best , but they have good rods. Saiko series are the best. I personally like and use Vercelli surfcasting rods

deserved that first thing yuki a6 is far from tournament casting rod, basically designed for fixed spool light fishing plus it seems pointless all that effort and stress on very good rod with reel that is running that slow, if u wanna tournament cast use zziplex or century something thats made for job.

I wasn't upset about it I was sure I made a mistake but I'm really not sure what you can fish for with a rod that nimble and after looking at the rod it was quite cheaply made the guides were wrapped like crap and The Branding was put on really cheap not upset it broke but overall it was a poor quality product
