Yes this is a reupload haha. I’ve gained a lot of new subscribers, so I’ve been reposting some of my older videos that people may not have seen before. Good catch!
My son (13) is organizing kids in our neighborhood into an underage reenacting group. He's got a fairly accurate impression but he's gathering up some green jackets and helmet liners to loan to kids who don't have anything. They are having a fun time going to parks or going on patrol around the neighborhood. They are learning about all the little details of the uniforms and equipment while in an environment where they don't have to feel bad about inaccuracies. They are having a great time and learning at the same time. Nothing better than that.
@@lewyseynon5374 Don't worry so much about the accuracy when you are just playing around. Even the research you do to find out what's close to the real thing is an education because you are noticing the details.
Yeah, I'm 10 and I bought medic webbing, an inaccurate helmet (The original helmets were under my range of under $100.) And some original gaiters. I didn't buy any clothing because I have some at home. In total it cost me around $92.99, but sadly there's no reenacting groups in my area. :P
I'm in Arkansas and we do from American Revolutionary war to ww2. We allow 16 and up it the parent is part of the unit and has an inoperable rifle we use them as casualtie in the event
I went to a Wold War 2 re-enactment event near me about 12 years ago to just watch it. I know it wasn't period correct but, it was fun driving my 1986 Chevy m1008 army truck with the troop seats in the back and it was camouflaged. It originally came from Camp Ripley in Minnesota. I live about 3 hours from there and one day I drove it to Camp Ripley to check out the military museum they have. I owned the truck twice and restored it a bit and then traded it for a 1965 Willy's jeep cj6.
How did you become so interested in WWII history. I personally think the history is so fascinating - even peripherally. The espionage, code-breaking, the Homefront. Just trying to wrap your mind around everything that was going on. Wars on 2 fronts, rationing of food and other necessities. But, we made it through as a country.
I’ll be honest, I didn’t know that battle reenactments for WW2 existed. I’ve been more familiar with Civil War re-enactments, but wasn’t aware that the World Wars were re-enacted. In that case, are there re-enactments for other battles like Korea or Vietnam??
When it comes to how old can you be before you should quit, just remember that the Volksstrum, American Revolution militias, and soviet partisans recruited and/or drafted older folks.
What are the rules of you want to play as a nazi youth soldier? They carried fire arms so would you be able to fight in a reenactment or how does this work?
Did you repost this...or am i losing it?

@@arizonasilothat's crazy good grammar for 10-11 (incase you had your birthday recently) year old. Good job on buying the stuff, too.
For true historical accuracy, they should include 14 year olds who lied about their age to get in.
skippin school to go to a battle reenactment 😂

Arkansas 👍
in events in belguim you can go as a civillian (1939-1945) they want them in almost every event and the age doesn't mater
Can we lie about our age to get past conscription? I mean it would be historically accurate to an extent

In some reenactments of the civil war they want some younger boys like drummer boys and other jobs.
I was 4 when I did my first reenactment (American civil war)
Did you use a gun?

Yea
Yeah but good luck finding some. There's some Vietnam re-enactments here and there but if you want a Korean war re-enactment. You're out of luck.
AIGHT DAD SIGN ME UP CMON
So I’m wondering do you need to have your own Weapon or do they assign you with one
Thank you

Thats something i need to now thanks
if you're 16 can you go into battle with a deactivated gun that doesn't shoot?
Noo
I started at 16, with a blank firing gun, ask your local reenacting group, places are different, not all places are 16 which most are 18
I do reenacting and I have got experience in this because I do army cadets and we handle and fire our rifles
How do I find WWII re-enacting???
I really want to do a reenactment, but I have no gear... How can I maybe get started?
Go to a local reenactment group and ask them for more info and most of the time you can use some things from people in the group
@@basvanhullebusch1263 ok. Thanks!
You’re telling me I could use/help with my real USSR hat got it from my Grandad who traded for it.
I’m 12 but I’m the only one in the family who likes ww2 :(

Can we use MPX training ammo?
Hey where should I buy uniform helmet, gun because i live in balkan so help me out
I'm from India can I join???? Where do this happen??? Is it safe??
I’m a 17 yo and really want to get involved in one now

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Could you go at age 9
You could definitely go watch, but I think you’d have a wait a few years before you could participate in the battles
go on the russian team 😂 iykyk
@@pennsylvanianrailfan 😆😝
Or just do what some of the real soldiers did when they were too young to participate and lie about your age.
Is it only for guys
