That body is SICK!!! I've done that kind of weathering in Model Railroading for years... but never thought of applying those techniques on R/C Rigs. Hmmmmm..... And I never knew that RC4WD made a Hard Body Blazer - WITH opening hood! When I'm done helping my friend, who's family is an awful situation, that's something I want to get. Flat Irons on the white Steelies is my choice.... I LOVE those Puller Tires! So much Badass!! Murph
I like the white rims with a agressive tire the second choice is great too. Maybe if you widen the fenders at the bottom a bit you won’t get the tire rub with bigger tires. Always love your vids. Best rc shows ever and I love that your wife supports you and the hobby as well and your son will enjoy to too. So nice to see. From your BC Canadian neighbour
That Blazer is amazing. I had a '76 and it looked very similar other than the color. Mine was brown and white with a black front left fender lol, but it also had a body lift, 36 inch BFG's and a 454. We also welded a 6 inch high scratch built bumper on the front of it to bypass some gates... I was a teenager when I had it but wow I miss it.
I like the old scratch up look! wish i could post a pic here i would show ya my freshly finished Bronco all faded and rusted. keep up the great videos.
Hi my name is Lake I would like to thank you. I really like your videos I have been watching you for six years you got me into the rc hobby I have a traxxas slash platinum, traxxas ford raptor and a traxxas summit thankyou so much for for your awesome videos keep up the good work!!!!
Big fan of your work my friend. This was my first rig I bought as a 17yr highschool student damn near 18 years ago. I absolutely love the paint job and the white rims made it!! Keep up the good work
to keep from losing grub screws...place a small section of heat shrink sleeve over the drive shaft then once your grubs are tight, slide the shrink wrap over them and heat it up.
love watching the upgrades on the RC trucks, too bad you don't have any helicopters ya do upgrades or repairs on... everything ya do, goes into real detail and i enjoy it
great video! and just for future reference thats a 73 to 78 blazer :)the 79 and 80 where with rectangular top headlights and the 82 to 87 had the 2 squares and the horizontal lights like the Vaterra Ascender. love the truck and and the paint scheme tho!
I like the white rims best. But...... You will have the most grip with the rock beasts. Just try them all out and choose what you like best! :) Awesome vid again b.t.w....
I love this RC and I've always wanted a 1978 Blazer. we had one when I was a kid. It was beat and a ugly sky blue color but it was sweet. Believe it or not we actually took it up Mt Washington. the highest mountain in the Northeastern United States.... I personally like the white scaled look. Take those rims and put better tires on them. Problem solved. I do dig the original puller tires the most. Reminds me of watching the truck pulls on TV when I was little.
Nice rig. Back some time ago I had a 1/8 Blazer that was fully channeled frame and axles made to scale out of metal. Wish I still had and knew who made it.
Hi Aaron ! Go with the Pitbulls in the cold & snow, because they are soft and the large diameter will give the necessary ground clearance.. But go with the white Lug Wagons if the scale-look is the most important thing.. ;-) Just my 2 cents! By the way: I love the body with that genius paintwork.. Greetings from Germany, Dirk
Nice maintenance philosophising there Medic. It's really satisfying getting under the bonnet for the first time and realising that yes you can fix it AND put it back together :)
the tires with the white wheels look great and should have good traction in both mud and snow. i have a very similar tread on my jeep and they are great
Hey Aaron, personally, I think you should do the classic white Trailfinder wheels with a more aggressively treaded tire. by the way, I live in Mississippi and we have these old Blazers all over the place because of how many of them the military used back in the day.
If you reverse sharpen the correct size drill bit and use that to get the set screws AKA grub screws out via the bit biting in reverse and put some pressure on it while drilling so the bit will bite and unscrew the set screw . I don't know if you can still get them but in the Motorcycle repair industry you use to be able to get left handed drill bits .I just reverse sharpen mine .
I personally think that the white wheels look best on it. However, I would toss a set of the original Mud Slingers on them. I know they are tiny, but they have worked really well for me.
God damnit from the thumbnail I thought this was a real fullsize truck. Carry on...
Chaos Descent yeah same lol
Chaos Descent same
Chaos Descent same
Chaos Descent me to
4 Different sets of tires in the video, each of them installed on this truck. Which ones were YOUR favourite?!
RCSparks Studio u shod us the white 1s thay look more real
RCSparks Studio class white
The classic white tires fit the tuck well but to give better performance I would go with the flat irons.
RCSparks Studio you should use the sealed tire
sealed tires
Man, from the thumbnail, I thought this was a full size truck. Was completely amazed when it turned out to be RC. Nice work!

Murph
The maintenance on my RCs is my favorite part, I enjoy taking them apart, especially if it's for the first time on a new RC, great video!
and I totally thought this was full-scale by the thumbnail haha
The camera's perspective makes your 'normal' sized garage appear as a miniature RC repair shop! Subscribed!
Love that old school Chevy body. The rust and overall look of the paint works really well together.
BTW that is a huge ass motor :)
My nephew is 2 years old and I always watch your videos together, .great videos as usual. 👍🏻

That Blazer is amazing. I had a '76 and it looked very similar other than the color. Mine was brown and white with a black front left fender lol, but it also had a body lift, 36 inch BFG's and a 454. to keep from losing grub screws...place a small section of heat shrink sleeve over the drive shaft then once your grubs are tight, slide the shrink wrap over them and heat it up.
I thougt that the thumbnail was a real car.😄👍🏼
Keep up the good work👍🏼🙂
Sorry i mean thought👍🏼
I love the looks of those K5 hardbodies but I could have one with the fact I have a tendency to roll my truck off steep banks!
Thats a lot of work. I'd just a soon go to the Sack 'o Suds and get a 12 pack of beer and some pressed ham, and call it a day
I just love the 2.2s Medic. I have them on my Scx 10 II I am getting! Great video!
Cant believe I thought that was a real Blazer in the pic! Cool toy!! But thanks any how see ya!!
love watching the upgrades on the RC trucks, too bad you don't have any helicopters ya do upgrades or repairs on... everything ya do, goes into real detail and i enjoy it
that truck has some sick power can't wait to see some videos. can't do much around home unless it's waterproof with all the rain
The classic 1.9's would look sweet in regular trail riding and 2.2 pits with the pulling!!
Love your vids bro you inspired me to get my first rc car and inspired me to get into the hobby keep up the great work nice truck to
Definitely use the 2.2 pitbulls, with those cool looking rims, makes the Blazer look so mean.

Dude I have that same table in my kitchen lol!! Awesome!!
I really like the rust effect on that 86 body 👍
Nice tip about using 2 grub screws on driveshafts medic will defiantly be trying that out 👍🏽👍🏽
i like the OLD School & the 2.2 beadlock rims put some chains on those tires for the SNOW & ICE
my friend
Very cool truck! You may want to rotate the axles to ease the driveshaft angle. Great job!
1.9 flat iron I like the look
Yes softer springs make the thing look realistic
you have more rc's than my local hobby town store👍
great video! and just for future reference thats a 73 to 78 blazer :)the 79 and 80 where with rectangular top headlights and the 82 to 87 had the 2 squares and the horizontal lights like the Vaterra Ascender. love the truck and and the paint scheme tho!

I like the white rims best. But...... You will have the most grip with the rock beasts. Just try them all out and choose what you like best! :) Awesome vid again b.t.w....

That's a beautiful rig man! Nice work! I Prefer the mid sized set of tires.
Nice rig. Back some time ago I had a 1/8 Blazer that was fully channeled frame and axles made to scale out of metal. Wish I still had and knew who made it.

It can't get any better than a square body!

Nice maintenance philosophising there Medic. It's really satisfying getting under the bonnet for the first time and realising that yes you can fix it AND put it back together :)

GO PITBULL!!!! They are an amazing tire!!
Classic white! Maybe get some new tires for the wheels one day.
Love your set-up.
Awesome rig! Hope to be able to do a build like this someday.
oh and for the rims/tyres, go for the flat irons on the white rims ;)
My Dad had a truck exactly like this when I was a kid!
Stock looking tires looked great
the tires with the white wheels look great and should have good traction in both mud and snow. i have a very similar tread on my jeep and they are great

Hey Aaron, personally, I think you should do the classic white Trailfinder wheels with a more aggressively treaded tire. by the way, I live in Mississippi and we have these old Blazers all over the place because of how many of them the military used back in the day.
Video Very well done! Looks awesome!
I'm probably the only one who thinks that the Flat Irons look great on there. I want a set now lol
The white OG's for sure!!
If you reverse sharpen the correct size drill bit and use that to get the set screws AKA grub screws out via the bit biting in reverse and put some pressure on it while drilling so the bit will bite and unscrew the set screw .
